For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lullabyloo · 05/04/2008 08:59

Oh thinking of you today Franny
You are a marvel

That cake sounds delicious...the thing is cakes have got outrageously complicated & amazing...but most of them dont actually taste that good.
Have a lovely day.

I have bed I am hankering after a tempur mattress..they are heaven.

100x the red nose reader books arrived today
Ds is engrossed already
They look fab

The hall is full up again with stuff for charity shop,I have been ruthless..most unlike me & I am rather ..so I hope dh takes it all soon before I change my mind.

The carpet cleaner people are coming on Monday to rid me of my mouse wee paranoia
They are doing a really cheap deal on 3 carpets..but I have neglected to tell them that our hallway is 37ft long & has stairs ...oh well

on with the cleaning

stuffitllama · 05/04/2008 09:20

eternalstudent · 05/04/2008 09:45

Morning all,

It is fantastic weather here today. We have turned our central heating off. Jolly good show what.

The little bean is much better today, running around looking for chocolate / crisps and refusing weetabix - situation normal.

I have a very slight hangover, nothing a can of coke banana won't cure.

eternalstudent · 05/04/2008 09:46

Oops - have a good day all

Hope the party goes well F&Z...

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2008 11:23

LOL I have hall envy now Lully
well actually NOT thinking about sweeping it

the cake is made, the cream cheese icing was really sloppy and it has 3 layers so is threatening to become a Leaning Tower of Cae
have put in fridge in hope it will stiffen up
or was that very bad? can cakes go in the fridge? ah well
must remember to take a photo of it's gloriosity as I forgot last year

have still got mini scones to make and various other bobs
can I be arsed with mini scones? hmmm

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 05/04/2008 11:33

lol at hall envy

Yes to cakes in the fridge,I always use that ploy to firm them up
Yes,yes to mini scones
I always used to do scones with cream & jam for the parents when I did parties in my nannying days..always very popular.

Is ds very,very excited?
You have a glorious day for it anyway

I forgot to say poor dd ES
Sounded so awful
Big xxxx for her

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2008 12:41

sorrybut the scones were casualty of time
have done chocolate covered strawberries and mini mozzarella and cherry toms on sticks so not too shoddy

must eat somehting then do my hair
then go!
wish me luck

Hello everyone

Good luck Franny hope you all have a lovely time

ES glad to hear DD is on the mend

Wombling I hope DS is OK

I am slurping Lanes' Sage and Garlic Catarhh (never know how to spell that word) Remedy - it's the dogs when you have a cold. tastes foul but feels like it's doing so much good

In a moment we are off to buy a washing machine...hopefully.

I have done no washing since Sunday but oddly enough none of us have anywhere near run out of clothes. yet I always religiously do a wash every day normally so that we don;t get into a situation where we run out

It is going to take me years to clear the backlog though

TooTicky · 05/04/2008 15:14

Yesterday I ate apple, multi-veg stew, raisins, orange, blueberries, biryani-type thing, psb and potato curry, avocado, orange. Hoe good is that????!!! I make it 11

Have just taken ds1, ds2 and dd2 to the field opposite where we marvelled over a dear little baby horse, then we went up the hill and played uphill football. It was rather windy at the top but v. invigorating and fun.

Franny, hope the party is going well.

TooTicky · 05/04/2008 15:15

Hoe? How. [obsessed with garden emoticon]

UnderRated · 05/04/2008 17:42

Good news, ES.

What is PSB, tooticky?

Hope the party is a great succes, Franny.

Happy baking all.

hurrah, all well, party lady v good and kept them all amused and I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO IT I sat down and giggled with my friends and it was marvellous

I don't think I have eaten anything, except a fairy cake from the party bag of a girl who didn't turn up

we are getting nice takeaway pizzas once ds is in bed
his favourite present was a dog ball thrower - you know they have that stick thing and it grips the ball and then releases it when you make a throwing action
he is a strange child

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2008 19:01

he had asked for that btw, we don't just have odd friends who buy odd presents

UnderRated · 05/04/2008 19:02

Glad it went well

2 bananas

lullabyloo · 05/04/2008 19:06

Hurrah Franny

ds has one of those too

do we get to see pic of cake later?

I conquered my fear of ladders today & braved the climb with legs of jelly to paint the sitting room.
Ds said 'Mummy....I am really, really proud of you' & kissed my foot ( while on ladder)

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2008 19:08

yes I will do pictures later
my friend who makes proper cakes, with like icing, and writing and stuff said it was "a triumph"

I am really, really proud of you too Lully

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 05/04/2008 19:09

You may kiss my foot if you like

lullabyloo · 05/04/2008 19:10

Was yours an improper cake then
I like it even better now

TooTicky · 05/04/2008 19:10

Well DONE Lully
Heights are odd things. They didn't used to bother me but these days my thighs object

Franny, glad it all went well!
