Anyone want to join me in a very easy peasy diet?

Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

futurity it's one of life's little ironies isn't it that us pear-shaped girls can't get the hips and thighs we want without looking half-starved on top! I have to choose between having no tits and size 10 hips......or bosoms with size 14 bottom half!!!!

Showmeheaven · 21/03/2008 12:36

Wolfgirl, I got your email but I can't open the excel attachment (it says it was created in a newer version of Excel). I tried a few things now and it still won't open

I will weigh myself today and let you know. I'm dreading facing the truth !!!

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 15:43

3NAB - yes of course you can join, weclome! I will add you to my email, can I have your home email addy, or can you CAT me with it? I also need to know your current weight, target weight and if you have an incentive, i.e. holiday coming up, or just just general overall necessity LOL

Hey vannah I dont have you on my list, so welcome ! Yes, I would eat a little latr and maybe a slighly bigger portion if I were you.

the hunger pangs can get bad, but you can have a cup of tea, or water, or squash. If you really cant stand the hunger, then go get a yoghurt, or carrot, or apple. Anything healthy that is not chocolate or fattening.

But push through the pangs, I swear if you can manage it for even only a couple of nights, you will wake up and see your stomach go down.

Remember, you can eat ANYTHING during the day, which is great news over Easter, eh! But just stop eating after your main meal. You can eat anytime, 5, 6,7,8 etc, then just stop.

PS, can I have your home email addy, your current weight, target weight and if you have an incentive?

Weekly weigh in's start this Tuesday, I will mail everyone for their weight Tuesday PM LOL so look out!

11stone 12lbs.
10 stone would be fantastic
health and fitness reasons

Thank you

Showmeheaven · 21/03/2008 16:31

OMG ..... Its much worse than I feared, I'm 13 stone exactly !! HELP ME !!!!

I'd fooled myself thinking I was 12 stone something, but I haven't weight myself in months and have been scoffing everything around me. I'm 5 ft 7 ins, but its still way too heavy.

Well at least that shock has given me the incentive I need.

Wolfgirl, my current weight is 13 stone (gulp), my target weight is 11 stone and my incentive is a wedding on 24th May.

Roll on Tuesday

MamaChris · 21/03/2008 17:00

how do you stop overcompensating before dinner? thurs I ate normally, then got really hungry after dinner and made a late night sandwich. Yesterday I had an extra big dinner to avoid the same thing, still got over hungry, but convinced myself it was all in the mind bc I'd had such a HUGE meal and didn't snack

Now dp's about to start dinner, and I'm thinking of reasons to make it later (can I really last from 6pm?) and planning to snack on a bagel before dinner (cos that's allowed). But won't I just end up eating as much as before, but squashing it into a smaller time?

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 17:03

Well! its exactly this reason why we are doing it, to shift those pounds that crept on by stealth!

We will do this ladies! just you watch. Push through the hunger pangs, stick with it, and just watch. You will be sending me boquets and crates of chocolates for such a wonderful idea when you all reach your goals. LOL - then of course, I will have to start again

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 17:04

MamaChris, can you try eating extra fruit and take more drinks?

Its the 'fasting' after our main meal that is the key to losing weight here. Not calorie counting etc

oooh, hang on roast pots are burning! LOL back later

Interesting idea - I'm a terrible one for snacking in the evening, although I have been trying to be good recently. If I must have something, I have some sugar free jelly, quite filling and staves off the hunger pangs!

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 17:18

showmeheaven - what a coincidence! we are at a wedding on 24th May too! you not in Bristol are you? LOL

countryhousehotel i know EXACTLY what you mean about the half starved on the top bit...sometimes i can see my ribs under my non exsistant breasts and wonder why that looks too much skinny where as my arse and thighs are loaded with fat!!

Wolfgirl you can save as earlier versions of Excel on any version i think...when you do "Save As" you look at the drop down options under "save as type" and it will say something about Excel 97-2003 which I imagine is what most people are using?

hot crossed buns for tea

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 17:41

OK, I will give it a go, but have to say 2007 is a bit weird, I dont think we have it set up properly tbh, the task bars at the top are NOT as my old version used to be, I cant even find SAVE AS, or Undo, or lots of my other usual stuff.

OP posts:
MamaChris · 21/03/2008 18:15

wolfgirl - haven't used 2007 (and avoid microsoft in general), but does this link help find save as? losing undo sounds like a real pain - means you have to get everything right at first attempt? sounds hard!

newjerseychick · 21/03/2008 18:23

hello wolfgirl, got my spreadsheet will fill it in for tuesday :-)

purpleduck · 21/03/2008 18:26

can I join too?
Have done this before, and it was good, but then, gradually the picking starts.

Would like to lose the dreaded jelly belly tho

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 19:09

purpleduck - hey, welcome purpleduck, of course you can. I know what you mean about the picking starts again.

I did soooooooo well before Christmas, then just let it go again . But am physcd and ready to rock for another try!

I've had a big beef roast dinner and dessert tonight. Normally on this diet I wont have dessert, but it was an American baked luxury cheesecake, so there's my confession!

Nothing else now, not tonight though. my jelly belly is overhanging my jeans as I type, and I feel wretched for eating than darn pudding..... but man!!!!!!!!! it was nice.

I can't open the spreadsheet either Wolfgirl am not sure how to get around it- but am still sticking to no snacking after tea. Have stuck to it and I don't find it hard but am a little dubious how much weight I will lose. Tonight's tea was fish and chips ( a rare occurence but a calorific one!)

kingprawntikka · 21/03/2008 19:21

Hi everyone. Have just had my tea and followed it up with some raw veggies to fill the gap!! i am liking this approach , having a definite cut off point in the day is nice and easy to accept.
wolfgirl did you send the spreadsheet to me cos still don't seem to be recieving it? thanks

Wolfgirl · 21/03/2008 19:30

keevamum - give a week or so, more really. You will not only notice a difference to your stomach, but overall, arms, legs, face. It does work.

re the spreadsheet, Im going to try and save it as a lesser version, and will try and get it out before tuesday PM, when its our OFFICIAL weigh in.

kingprawntikka - if you didnt receive it a day or so back, then no. Im just waiting to try and save it in a lesser version, then I will resend it.

Id like to know how to set up GROUPINGS in outlook 2007. I'll go post in the Geeky section, it will make it far easier for when I have to mail everyone for weigh in day.

I can try and send you a copy now if you like, or hold off till next wek, its up to you

OP posts:
kingprawntikka · 21/03/2008 19:36

Wolfgirl don't worry about doing it send it next week. i'm hopelessly incompatible with technical stuff so if other people can't work out opening it then i won't get to read it anyway!!

hope everyone has a good snack free evening
