Anyone want to join me in a very easy peasy diet?

Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

Well done JJ!!! 5lb, thats amazing!! Have entered it all into the spreadsheet. Would have liked to have put your stats this week in my cells, but..... think you might have noticed

kingprawntikka No, we just drop that particular item for that week. But essentially you can drop whatever you like tbh, its your diet at the end of the day. I just thought by doing one item per week, would make it fun and interesting, and not too hard.

peachygirl - yeah!!! well done you my love! Great going!

Christie - well done and keep going, you are doing really well.

duomonstermum - bless yourself? Is that 1lb loss m'dear? I think it must be. Whats this about a patio? sorry to hear about you needing a smear test. tbh Ive been putting off going for AGES!!! But I ought to go really, eh!

duomonstermum · 30/04/2008 22:52

wolfgirl, have you never heard the expression " i'm so busy, if i was catholic i wouldn't have time to bless myself??" yup it is 1 lbs loss. DH has been getting on my last nerve so that's where he's going!

he came home all chirpy about us maybe getting to london (to see an arsenal match....there's always a catch...) in august. i was getting all excited then he says oh DSD1 wants to come too... it's supposed to be a holiday from all of them....

Wolfgirl · 30/04/2008 22:58

no LOL. Im christian, not catholic, but either way.... no Ive not heard it. Its a great liner though, made me chuckle.

JJ wow!!! i am so impressed (and soooo jealous too !!!)you must be so pleased. Hope the rest of us can emulate you this week .

JustJaamy · 01/05/2008 20:59

Remember everyone - if your trying to copy me, you have to put on 2lbs before you can lose 5lbs! So I'm only really catching up with the rest of you.

Well done to you all for losing this week. I think the nicer weather is helping, isn't it. Putting me in a more positive mood anyway and even makes me want to eat salad.

Night off tonight - had a bit of chinese and currently partaking in a couple of glasses of wine. DH is off work tomorrow so he says that since tonight is the first night of his "holiday" he is celebrating. He was gutted to hear that peanuts were banned this week, though.

DMM - I know the expression about blessing yourself. Use it all the time.

Wolfgirl · 02/05/2008 08:03

JJ!!! I think I am copying you. I took a sneak peak at the scales this AM, and I've dropped 2lb since Tues weigh in. Tres strange. But I have been immensley good. Im desperate to lose more for my hols begin June, only 4 weeks to go

Go Wolfgirl! Well done you!

peachygirl · 04/05/2008 20:00

Hi all Im not confident this week I've fallen off the wagon a bit... Not too much.. but hardly any exercise and eating things that are not the healthiest.. we shall see
No one wants a certificate then?

Wolfgirl · 04/05/2008 20:53

Its my day/night off today, really hope I dont blow it!

OP posts:
cadelaide · 05/05/2008 09:44

Morning All,

Please, please motivate me.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh-in at all, cos I've fallen right off the wagon this week. (Good excuse tho', mini-break London and legoland, fantastic time!).

So, I'm going to haul myself back on. I am quite motivated actually. I'm approaching mid-forties and if i don't lose it now i know i never will, so i'm going to do it however long it takes.

Wolfgirl · 05/05/2008 11:26

Hi there Cadelaide!! OK, have my quacks head on.... so come inside this picture!

lie yourself on the couch, relax...breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.

You are troubled, I sense this very strongly Your problem I feel is that there are too many biscuits in the house, too many crisps and other such niceties.

The solution is to leave them on the supermarket shelf, and swap them for delicious plump strawberries, or an extra bunch of bananans - and make scrummy milkshakes. Resist the offer of 2 for 1 on those jumbo packs of Walkers crisps....

Take the C out of chips, and what have you got? yes thats right, HIPS *

Ok, am being yelled at as we are going out for the day! DAY soo funny of DH.

You can do this Cadelaide.... dont worry if its been a bad week or bad few weeks, just keep going

Hi Wolfie! Morning all!

Can't open the spreadsheet, for reasons too dull to go into. Will sort it tonight.

Anyway, my weight has remained the same this week, and I'm actually pretty pleased cos I have not been good.

Hello All! A 1lb loss for me this week. Hurrah!

Christie - can you put the weight gain down to your time of the month? I put on 2lbs one week and then lost 5lbs the next. If you are being good, I bet you'll have a good loss next week. Don't give up.

Cadelaide - well done for not putting on! I overdid it a bit with the coffee and cake over the weekend and hadn't expected to lose anything. I've cut out potatoes and bread to make up for my indiscretions with the pastries!

Peachy - I think the certificate is a lovely idea. We could stick it on our fridge/larder doors to motivate us.

Wolfgirl - showed your motivational post for Cadelaide to DH. He agrees with me that we've got a great team leader. DOn't know what we're gonna do when you're on hols. You'll have to find an internet cafe to keep us in line!

peachygirl · 06/05/2008 21:10

Hooray JJ I will set about creating one!!

MNersanonymous · 06/05/2008 22:18

Can I join you too?!

I will CAT you Wolfgirl.

Am 5'2 and want to lose about 7 to 10 lbs (which means once I get to 7 I will lose momentum and give up but that's ok). I weigh about 9st 3 at the moment. Not huge but I'm not happy with it and have put on a fair few pounds recently due to horrid medical stuff (long story).

Looking forward to getting the rules Wolfgirl!

nappybaglady · 07/05/2008 07:48

have really been struggling to get on MN & can't do emails at the mo so can I leave my stats here. 9st 7lbs so I.ve lost 2 lbs. Am pleased it's going but fed up this morning because the sun is shining & I've got nothing to wear. Will not buy new clothes until I can fit into my old clothes!

Also have lots of temptation ahead because it's nearly our 10th wedding anniversary so we've got a few nice things planned. Was 8st 2lb when we got married so have gained 1.5 stone in a decade. Not bad I guess but now is the time to get rid of it.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

kingprawntikka · 07/05/2008 09:03

Good Morning everyone, no weight loss for me this week still 10st 1 , I am a bit disappointed because i have been really good ,and done two days gardening and 4 hours of exercise!!! Was hoping to see something for it. my period is due this weekend tho' so maybe its fluid.
Well done to all of you that lost weight.

MNersanonymous · 07/05/2008 09:31

Ah but Kingprawn I reckon it takes about a week for these efforts to feed through! (That's my totally amateur experience anyway) so maybe next week it'll show.

Wolfgirl · 07/05/2008 09:48

Peachy!!!! I missed your offering of creating a certificate! What a fab idea. Yes! lets do it! BIG letters too

OP posts:
Wolfgirl · 07/05/2008 09:54

ah MNersanonymous - oooo are ya then!! LOL

yes of course you can join, would love to have you on board. Im at work in my coffee break at the mo, so will pick up your CAT email tonight - if MNHQ have managed to send it out by then. It does seem to take a day or two before I receiving the CAT messages, so dont think Ive ignored you.

I shall send you the rules and the spreadsheet for you to see. From what you say I have the following info....

your current weight - you say 9st 3lb - is that definate? do you have scales?

target weight - lets work on helping you lose 10lb - so that would make it.... ummm... 8st ummmmm 7lb??? I think

incentive - whats your incentive? holiday, clothes to fit better, summer coming... etc

OP posts:
Wolfgirl · 07/05/2008 09:57

good for you nappybaglady* - just keep going. I know its going to be VERY hot this week, which is another great reason for us to carry on.

JUST STOP PICKING, everyone, STOP PICKING after 6pm. It does work, honestly. And yes I do know it can be hard work. Ive found it hard work just recently. I think you get bored with diets after a while eh! But if we keep pushing through we will be soooooooo proud of ourselves, and look and feel great in our clothes.

Dont despair, keep going.
