Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

Morning ladies. have to be quick, as DD had a bad night, came into my bed, which meant I had a bad night, so got up late, and here I am in my PJs at the computer, when I should be at my desk at 8am!!

I have sent the email this AM, but in future I will send it on Monday night, ready for the Tuesday weigh in, Is that OK?

Good luck with your weigh-ins. I did manage to lose 1lb - although I dont know how, as I have felt wretched and bloated all week, but Im really chuffed.

So, it really does work. take heart ladies and keep going.

Hello Everyone! Put on 2lb this week [hangs head in shame]. I know I'm getting ready for that time of the month but has made me feel a bit rotten about self. Someone please tell me not to reach for the biscuit tin to console me...

Oh poor you , its disheartening isn't it? I put weight on at the last weigh in , so i know how you feel . Same reason as well! but i have lost a 1lb this week and you will be back to normal soon.

Hi all

Just done 17mins 2 seconds on the exercise bike and I plan to walk to school and back for the little monkeys angels.

I burnt 19.4 cal and went 4.96km.

i did something that should only be done with copious ammounts of alcohol in the system!! i had a go on the boots weighing machine....... you know.... the one that does your body fat %....... it's bad enough seiing your bmi in all it's glory, it's quite another to see your body fat %..... you end up looking like memo to self, def don't do that again.... at least not till i get somewhere near target. go on i dare you all to try it!

ah, we have those scales at home, the ones that measure body fat etc. I only use the weight bit, refuse to use the other bit, just until I lose a bit of blubber, then might try it. If I see that Im ott with the BMI it will mean I have to think the foods I eat, and right now.... I think what Im doing is enough.

Hurrah to everyone who lost wieght last week.

Anyone who (like me) put on weight...come on we WILL lose weight this week.

I have been good today and am about to go and do 30mins or so on exercise bike.

Wolfgirl - LOL at Everest! I'm not ignoring your email. DH has been playing around with it again. As soon as I can get hold of it I will fill in spreadsheet and return. You know I'v put on 2 lbs anyway, don't you?

justjaamy, not enough!!! have decided to have night off tonight cos i'm helping DH with an assignment and i can see it being a long night. does anyone really care if society is becoming secular or not?? isn't that just such a riveting topic (not!) i hope to have it done asap thento the equally riveting urinalysis..... oh what a glam life i lead.....

I'm a long term MN lurker who only pops in occasionally. I have just found this thread whilst thinking about whether to have some Jaffa cakes or not. Now definitely not having them.

I know for certain that nighttime nibbling is my major weakness and when I've cut it out before I've always lost a few pounds.

I'm 5'2", size 12, 9 stone 8lbs. Not very overweight but have a jelly belly which looks awful whatever I'm wearing. I have a wardrobe full of nice clothes which I haven't worn for months, maybe years. I've been trying to lose the wobble, rather sporadically, for years. Am under loads of pressure at work which makes the comfort eating worse, not to mention the glasses of wine. I'm hoping to lose 12 - 15lbs or whatever it takes to get me into my best jeans

Please can I join in?

NotABanana - Yeyyyyyyyyy1 Good on yer! Its soooooo easy to do it eh! My little girl was sick yesterday, a bug I think Ive now caught , anyway, still had to get DS from nursery, and gave them both hoola hoops when we got in (shhhh.... dont tell any one it wasnt a banana or such like ). Come bedtime, DD had left half of hers and spilt them on the kitchen table. I just picked one up and ate it, then reached for a second..... but NO WAIT!!! I looked at the clock and it was 6:30. I put the second hh down. But heck I was hungry, and no sign of dinner till about 8:30. I gave in after dinner though and picked at some licorice, but only a bit. Not scoffing a bag, like I normally would have done. Ah well. Will do better tonight.

JustJaamy - Im soooooooo proud of you giving out encouragement to everyone and keeping going even when you gained a little. Im sure its just awful when you put on a pound or two, when you have been trying so hard. Or even when you have been weak and had a rotten week. So well done you. And yes DOOOOOOOO keep going everyone.

My clothes are feeling so much more comfortable, although Im a long way yet to actually going down a dress size. I was an 18, and think I might be a 17 now. It would be good if I could get to a 16 by holidays, beginning of June. but that would mean losing another 6-8lb I think. The challenge is on!!!!!!

Oh and JJ, you dont have to fill out the SS, just write new stats on the email

duomonstermum - in answer to your question, well, we care! I think its great that people still hold onto a faith. Believing in a nothingness.... seems all very empty to me. ah well.

I really think if we are going to crack and eat something we know we shouldn't we may as well enjoy it! I just ate a small pork pie as I craved pastry! Will have jacket spud for tea and something better for lunch like soup or cheese on toast. Oh no! I can't have bread. Oh well, will think of something. Really pleased to have given up coke and alcohol too.

P O R K P I E!!!!!!!!! ooooh err, yuk. Not my cup of tea, but I know what you mean about cravings. I wonder if, when you are on a diet, cravings gets worse. I think they might.

I think Im going to pick on someone this weekend, to suggest a food/drink cut out, and for someone to suggest an exercise.

Anyway, I'm Julie and I weighed 10st 7 yesterday!!!! Really not sure how because I had 2 pizzas and a maccy d's last week

Hope it stays off! I've been really good this week though and have been doing my Davina Mcall dvd as well! A question - If you eat crap on say a monday, how long does it take for the weight gain to show up? Are those pizzas going to come back and haunt me next week?!
