For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

write the address you remember on another piece of paper and look at that one when you get wobbly

plus it may attract the first one, in a sort of homeopathic way

(very much hope you are ok and that tomorrow is positive for you)

Thanks. Trouble is I am questioning my memory and feel quite gaspy. Is probably displaced stress or something.

BBBee · 20/03/2008 21:03

if the address is a hospital can you google it?

Boco · 20/03/2008 21:03

Sounds like stress MrsC, do some good deep breathing and have some of your special tea and think about something other than the piece of paper and maybe it'll come back to you, and if not, you will still work out where you need to go, leave plenty of time and it'll be fine.

Good luck, will be thinking of you xxx

FrannyandZooey · 20/03/2008 21:04

I would imagine very stressy thing to be happening and very normal to be forgetting things and finding ordinary stuff difficult

I would find the missing piece of paper very hard to accept also but you DO know where it is going to be, you are not going to forget that.

BBBee · 20/03/2008 21:04

it sounds like displaced stress - can you make you mind go elsewhere - like recall in detail that water show in edinburgh that I was jealous of?

MrsCarrot · 20/03/2008 21:10

It isn't at the hospital. I am sure I remember the address but I only have what I think is the phone number from going through my call list and I am angry at the stupidity of losing the piece of paper. I have been looking for well over an hour, though the same piles, the bin, outside in the recycling with bare feet and mad hair. Pointless.

I am going to give up and have a bath now. Thanks for well wishes, I'll let you know how it goes.

MrsC...can you look in phone book?

What time is your appointment so we can hold thumbs?

Sends everyone else virtual lashings of elderberry

IdrisTheDragon · 20/03/2008 21:18

Evening. I hope you are having a good bath MrsC.

Could you google the number - sometimes doing that can tell you what place it is.

Have emailed various people with details they have asked for .

FrayedKnot · 20/03/2008 21:21

The moon is early imho

I haven;t yet had my pre-AF migraine. Mind you the soya chocolate will hasten it on no doubt.

TooT it was FreeFrom soya chocolate from sainsbury's and I bought it in a moment of idle curiosity. It was foul.

Have since been googling proper vegan chocolate and found a swiss one made with rice milk which sounds better.

I am trying really hard to cut out dairy to see if it helps my eczema, although this is probably not the weekend to be doing it.

Shall be thinking of you MrsC. The piece of paper will be in the second pile you looked in - the one you have already searched through with rising sense of panic and fear, beneath the letter from school and the other envelopes not opened.

Don't worry. You know where to go. Forget the piece of paper - it will turn up when you get back.

Hope your bath was good.

Am sitting here eating an apple. That's it. Had freezing walk today - my god, I talk to a lot of people in the park. And now they all start saying 'do you know Juliet? She's got Frenchay' and it takes me a bit of blinking in the wind to work out who Frenchay might be. (He's a poodle - Frenchay fgs!)

We are on holiday. Hooray. DS got a prize at school today, he was all surprised and knocked over a music stand. It was very lovely.

lullabyloo · 20/03/2008 21:27

where do you find elderberry extract at all?
I can only get lozenge thingies

thinking of you lots mrs C

ahundredtimes · 20/03/2008 21:27

Avi what does your anti-grinding mechanism look like? I have visions of a head piece with leather straps like people used to wear in the nineteenth century.

(I have no idea what they wore them for though. What did they wear them for?)

FrannyandZooey · 20/03/2008 21:27

I think if I hide them inside they won't all get found, they are only tiny

I have also plans for an easter tree to decorate in the garden

and we were going to have a fire in the firepit
