For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

you can't discuss the breakaway group on here in front of me
if you are rebellious and disgruntled then you can piss off and do it somewhere else, not in my nice warm yurt / village hall / scout hut / wherever we are

Lip is better today - looks normal on the outside and purple on the inside, but my arm and hip still hurt

I've been wanting a breakthrough group to do smoking but have resisted admirably and instead bought the paper and a starbar.

Boco · 19/03/2008 18:42

Oh Franny, it's my fault, and I don't want to break away, I'm just feeling vegetabley highly inadequate because I've not done good food for a couple of days adn I'm feeling lazy and disgruntled. I want to stay please.

ahundredtimes · 19/03/2008 18:42

Oh you poor thing. God, I hate falling over. I find it really, really shocking if I ever do -and I do quite a bit as it happens. It takes AGES to recover.

filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 18:43

I'm crap at not being on Mumsnet...

But I wanted to say
TATTIES IS WONDERFUL!
She has knitted me the most beeeyoootiful green stripey tea cosy. I swear it is so lovely I want to wear it as an unfortunate hat.. (Will try and post pictures sometime soon)

Oh and 100...thought of you today when I read
this!

And when I read about canary jumper man I sniggered even more...imagining a jumper made from actual canary feathers. You dog owners, you're all barking!

Boco · 19/03/2008 18:44

I haven't fallen over for years. You know when you have small children and they fall over ALL the time and you think it can't be that bad, but it was quite shocking. Worse as I had to kind of twist on the way down to hurl dd2 against the wall. Would have looked good in slow motion.

filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 18:45

oh and if you are struggling with not eating properly, may I recommend a MN break - I have been eating fabulously well this week as DH has nbot been here and without spending so much time on MN I have been cooking proper nice meals, dining on spinach and lentils and veggies galore. So nur....
(But I will be expelled and exiled to Breakway group because I keep having stressy fags )

ahundredtimes · 19/03/2008 18:46

Ooh FMV. I missed you yesterday, I'm pleased you are crap at not being on MN.

LOL at this season's must have. They look hilarious.

I raced to a thing at ds's school earlier in the week and arrived all hot and panting and slid into my chair just in time, and then suddenly realized that my coat really STANK of dog, and I was hot, so surely it was really AWFUL. Then I remembered I had some Chanel 19 in my bag, so I bent down and sprayed it on. Then I sat there REEKING of dog and Chanel 19. Not good, not good at all.

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 18:47

well look
you can go in the photocopying room
there's nothing else in there as I had to throw away the photocopier as it might have been sending out evil rays
so you can be splinterish in there
keep the noise down

OP posts:
filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 18:49

oh but how very upper clarse, darling
If you had smelled just a teeny bit horsey too...

pinkspottywellies · 19/03/2008 18:49

canary jumper man's secret!

My mooncup doesn't have a peg and I'll never sync with anyone, or the moon cos my cycle's about 5-7 weeks Franny do you have a special cosy or just the bag it came with? [possible cosy envy]

Eaten raisins, plum, cucumber, 1/3 pear (my share is getting smaller as dd is getting bigger!) 3 cherry toms. Only the raisins are a full portion so far! Then dinner was baked sweet potato, with cress, lettuce, sweetcorn, teeny tiny bit of spring onion in tuna mayo [clutching at straws] quinoa with onion, mushrooms and tomato. Urgh only about 5 portions all added up!! I'm going to do some yoga tonight.

filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 18:50

That Tatties woman will knit you a mooncup cosy, she will! She's ace.

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 18:53

mooncup cosy

Pruni knitted it for me

I want to post a picture of my bump actually. Would that be really eeeeeeeeugh? I think it would be more suited to an antenatal thread I suppose but I don't know anyone on there and they call me Frannyandzoe and things. Perhaps I will go in the photocopier room and stick it up in there

OP posts:
filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 18:55

Bump! Bump! Bump!

ahundredtimes · 19/03/2008 18:55

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 18:57

sorry might have to be when you return 100

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 19/03/2008 18:58

Okay, I'll have you any ways to be honest. But Boco did do her rash didn't she - she went naked, so you can too.

Right, I'm going now then. Don't take it down.

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 18:59

ok I will send you special naked one 100
[threat]

OP posts:
filthymindedlurker · 19/03/2008 19:03

blardy favouritism...

(not that i want to see you naked particularly. Not that I'm sure you don't look very lovely naked. Just....)

UnderRated · 19/03/2008 19:04

Oh yes, photo of bump. Naked or clothed, I'm not fussy.

I just sort of accidentally sent you a very weird email, Franny. Sorry. It wasn't meant to be as odd as it is and I pressed send before I could make it sound more normal or delete it which would have been the better option

Boco · 19/03/2008 19:07

But to be fair, it's pretty impossible to show a rash through clothes.

Show it Franny!

UnderRated · 19/03/2008 19:14

"Mummy, I am hungry, I need some crunchy eggs, ok Mummy? It sounds greeeaaaaat" (a la Tony the Tiger)

I suppose I have to go and be a mother now and give up any hope of DS sleeping today.
