For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

S1ur · 18/03/2008 21:53

Evening all.

Zippi, it is never a good idea to ork for solicitors, they only demand bigger goblins and warlocks ime.

I crashed and burn on the ratatouille front and so came in at a fairly mediocre 6ish today. I probably deserve a warm encouraging smile but not a sticker, nor a brazilian - save that for Boco.

FrayedKnot · 18/03/2008 22:02

I'm pleased to hear the appt has been brought forward MrsC..hope you are finding things to take your mind off it a bit.

Avi ...hope tomorrow is better. I had a week doing and saying things I shouldn;t have done last week...

DH & I are making up for our 4 years of no cinema going and nowhere local to rent Videos / DVDs and have joined Lovefilm. I am slightly because the first lot of DVDs came out in a tesco enevlope for some reason and I have had a small personal boycott of Tesco going on for some time, but anyway, we try to watch one film a week.

Any recommendations are thus gratefully received.

I have seen Harold & Maude but not for many years, will watch again soon.

I am here between yoga & bed.

Have had dried fruit, bowl of fruit salad, an avocado, stir fry for supper, half a mango. And cake and biscuits.

Althoug if I say that bit quickly you might not hear it.

lullabyloo · 18/03/2008 22:03

Oh, don't go already zippi. Can't help with moderation in life though. Sadly. Hope your hand is better. I'd probably stick some savlon on it and hope it heals overnight but my hands are a mess so I probably shouldn't dish out advice.

Angel Delight was our camping pudding. DS isn't convinced by it, which I hope is a good thing.

I have 250 things on my mail order DVD rental thing. What kind of things do you like, FK?

What a long day, Tigerfeet.

TooTicky · 18/03/2008 22:25

Oh god, you have all TALKED too much and I can't read it all, the words keep dancing because I am rushing and I bet you will all have gone to bed by the time I finish this post.

FMV lovely to see you but about the Levellers. I looked up their festival recently, and with a spare £215 I could go with the dcs

Evening Toots.

DS wanted to go to bed early, so it is ten to six and he is all snuggled up.

I am feeling all smug because I made crumpets for tea. Properly - batter & everything!

RosemaryBoxer · 18/03/2008 22:58

is that possibke..they only cost like 41 p

lullabyloo · 18/03/2008 23:01

made crumpets...oooooooooooh
how?

UnderRated · 18/03/2008 23:02

They are really expensive over here ($3 for 6, I think) so I refuse to buy crumpet. They are only made from flour, milk and yeast so are easy to make. And it was quite satisfying. I like doing things like that though.
