For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Well ideally I'd like there to be a marvellous array of people to talk to and some of them to be very odd, and others to be neurotic and I want two of them to have an affair over the next six weeks, and for something strange and terrible to happen one week which we can all talk about in hushed whispers.

I don't think there will be stickers. I am expecting liver treats.

you forgot someone for you to have a crush on

are you actually going to a class or just making it up

ahundredtimes · 18/03/2008 19:37

I think the fake thing is that they are self-appointedly quirky and interesting - but actually aren't. Something like that? I loathed Royal T. - zany and wacky and UNTRUTHFUL and therefore NOT FUNNY. Little Miss Sunshine - funnier, but all those characters worked out on a screen writers programme. Self-help guru - can't help himself
Mute son - eventually speaks.
I just found them both fake, because SO contrived and untruthful. Whereas Juno was sort of artificial in its dialogue - but you believed it sprang out of her, and was truthful and original in its way.

Sort of like that. Am not being very clear, am also doing a Y3 project on a volcano. It is very demanding.

RosemaryBoxer · 18/03/2008 19:37

i mean like fiction writing

FrannyandZooey · 18/03/2008 19:37

Avi I just realised, you might have liked reassurance and sympathy for your crappy day
it just sounded so bloody par for the course for life with a 2 year old that I almost completely ignored it, sorry

Yes I am going tonight! My first! But I'm not supposed to bring Johnny Jet tonight - he comes next week. I think there might be questions and bonding and hopefully chairs and maybe tea? I don't know. Am very happy - is in a church hall.

FrannyandZooey · 18/03/2008 19:39

well I thought Juno was like that - totally fake - for about the first 10 minutes or something
as we said

i do know what you mean
can't remember thinking that about Royal Ts
mostly because I spent the film thinking WHO is that MAN? LOOK at his MOUTH

FrannyandZooey · 18/03/2008 19:41

UR did you watch that Darjeeling thingy? Any good?

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 18/03/2008 19:41

I watched some of that Zip. I don't think Franny would either.

Oooh but you might like the Busker film, Always. Have you seen that?

Boco · 18/03/2008 19:42

I didn't find either untruthful particularly, although didn't really think of the truth of it. Royal T looked nice, I really liked the way it looked adn the pace of it.
I liked the way the self help guru was completely unlikable and irritating and stupid, but by the end you like him so much.

I love all of Wes Andersons characters because I find them SO truthful - they're so flawed and a bit crap but still basically nice and a bit naive and lovable, even if they're shits. There's something very true about them.

I lent life aquatic to a friend whose husband couldn't watch it because he said it was wacky zany nonsense. I think maybe we just have very different taste in films.

FrannyandZooey · 18/03/2008 19:43

Oh I think I like wacky zany nonsense
I like it better than deep disturbing things atm anyway

what is Always? I don't think I know anything about it?
