Well done WTD, you always feel much better afterwards - a warm glow of smugness!

I'm really pleased - DH went on line and got me a T-shirt with "Run, fat girl, run" because I said I would really like one. What a sweetie!

Wheelybug · 15/05/2008 10:35

Morning morning - hello Spamm and Underrated - gald you're hanging in there ! Of course you can do it !!

Welcome WTD ! Well done for getting out there (sometimes its soooo hard isn't it ?!)

Effie - take care of yourself and the bump. Hope the morning sickness etc passes soon.

Hope you had a good birthday Dita !!

Wooluff - Am pleased you requested that t-shirt and it wasn't your DH trying to be funny

Waves at Minum, Furball, LJA, Theresa, sparklyprincess and everyone else who is runnign along with us all !!

Was supposed to be out today for my last run pre-RFL at the weekend but woke with a stinking headache and funny throat and its pouring so decided best course of action is rest. Have developed hayfever this year quite significantly and think its just that causing the sore throat but don't want to be ill for sunday..that would be a disaster after all this training .

Itsthawooluff · 15/05/2008 10:41

No I really did want one . Liked the slogan from the film, and it seemed in keeping when I started my 45 seconds sections of knackered jogging.

Good luck for the weekend Wheely!

Wheelybug · 15/05/2008 10:45

LOL - in that case Wooluff, it was a lovely thing to do !

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 11:53

Oh Wheely hiope you feel better later, maybe just that horrid first day of a cold or somehting.
Would it be really silly to drive somewhere and do a 5k loop which I can't get back from without completing after I have not been out for nearly 2 weeks. I can't face telling neighbour that i don't want to go with her. I really feel like getting out there again today.
Had a lovely birthday thanks Wheely.

LadyJogsAlot · 15/05/2008 12:41

effie - come back every now and again to let us know how you both are

wheely - rest rest rest! i order chicken soup for you... i hope you'll be ok for your run.

wooluf - love it

i'm supposed to be going out tonight. think i'll take the dog again. pretty crappy weather though :/

welcome WTD, just get into a routine and before you know it you'lll be running for 5 mins, then 20 mins and on
we are proof that this program works. some people on here have even done it in 10 weeks.
(it's taken me a bit longer though )

LadyJogsAlot · 15/05/2008 12:41
Theresa · 15/05/2008 13:53

Welcome WTD, good luck for weekend wheely, hope you;re feeling better, I remember 2 days before i did my 10K i did one of my worst runs ever, actually stoped half way round and walked the rest home feeling like it was the end of the world but was just a bit of a blip, I'm sure you'll be fine for the weekend.
Come on Dita, look forward to reading tomorrow that you've been out. Cherry, yes do it, time is precious, if you want to do it by yourself then go off in the car and run and if you cant finish the whole lot, do a bit of walking.
Just started to do my Miss Marple bit here - cherry, you and dita must be one and the same! Well done for thinking of 2 good names, I havent the imagination to come up with one! Belated Hapy Birthday

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 13:54

I am having a split personality day, I am dita. and I am going out tonight.

Theresa · 15/05/2008 13:59

Go girl go!
Are you getting into the car in your running gear? What if the neighbour spys you?!! I'm a brilliant fibber and if i'm spinning a yarn I always like to have all eventualities covered! I'd be getting in the car with a coat and boots on or something and taking them off when I got to my running spot to reveal my running stuff!

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 14:03

yeh but if she spots me on the way back she would deffo know, Problem is she has not run before and I need to try and keep my distance up, think I will tell her that I am going out in car on long run. She said she would like to start but does not want to do it alone and I want to encourage as many people as poss to run for it is the way of the future. Maybe will go for a shorter run with her at the weekend, I just like to go the second dh walks in so as not to waste time.

Theresa · 15/05/2008 14:10

I know exactly what you mean, as I said time is precious and if i'm going to the effort of pushing myself out of the door for a run I want to come back and feel i've done something. Have started going out on a bike soemtimes with other mums from school and its very pleasant, we chat and go really slow, it can hardly be called excercise!
Good luck for tonight!

UnderRated · 15/05/2008 14:42

Thanks Minum

Week 4 sounds hard

Wheelybug · 15/05/2008 15:40

You can do it Underrated - you can, honest .

Thanks for all your good wishes - don't feel terrible just a bit odd so will go to bed early tonight and keep my fingers crossed.

Good news though my RFL top arrived this morning (was ridiculously excited about it !) but its a vest as I ordered it when it was hot hot hot so now I might be cold cold cold ... hopefully it'll just make me run faster .

Ditafrillyknickers - if you have time it would be nice to go out as an extra run with your neighbour. But understand not wanting to be tied by it....

SparklyPrincess · 15/05/2008 16:13

Cool t-shirt, Wooluff!

Effie, I think you're doing well to be even considering exercise never mind actually doing it. Agree with dita, just keep active, but take it easy. I tried to go walking in the lake district with morning sickness last time and ended up throwing up half-way up the 'easy hill' we'd picked for the first day.

Ooh, can I join the 'stone club' by the way?! Still a pretty long way to go til I hit anything approaching skinny, but i've been able to open the suitcase of clothes that's been packed since before I had kids!

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 18:18

Dh due home in about 10mins and I am going out, I am, I am, I am. will go and put runnihng stuff on now and phoned him at work to say i was going so he will nag me and dd had a nap very late so will not go to bed, if I go out I can leave dh to deal with it.
I am going.
really I am.
Plugged mny ipod in to make sure is charged up.
Right off to get ready now, I am going.

UnderRated · 15/05/2008 18:26

I love the t-shirt too. I want one!

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 18:32

Shoes are laced, i am going, i decided on a 5k, i can always walk if I need to. will report back later.

LadyJogsAlot · 15/05/2008 19:30

didn't get to go out today. pretty hectic at the mil's house...
ho hum, i have done lots of exercise this week tho so mustn't worry.

you do know about the initiation ritual don't you?

go go go cherryredditavonretrofrillyknickers!

cherryredfrillyknickers · 15/05/2008 19:41

I did it, crapola time took 40mins and I walked for the last 10 but I did it I am back on the wagon, spent most of the run trying not to eat flies and I now look like this so maybe should be cherryredglowyfacesweatyknickers.

Wheelybug · 15/05/2008 19:46

yeah Pantgirl !!! well done

Theresa · 15/05/2008 21:56

Furball · 16/05/2008 06:13
