Well, I did my 12 min runs and I am still here . Actually felt quicker than 3 x 8 mins

(realises everyone else is on completely different plan so this will make NO SENSE)

Still no severe morning sickness - can't decide if because of running/too early (only 5 and a bit weeks)/different pg. I suspect the last

Itsthawooluff · 01/05/2008 12:17

Right - cough or no cough, I need to run tomorrow. I'm getting distinctly grouchy, and will have limited opportunities to run next week. Plus need to reach magic 30 minutes / 5k.

at people running 6 / 7k +. But keep reminding myself that in March couldn't make whole 1 minute.

ditavonteesed · 01/05/2008 14:09

wooluff you are doing so well, to think where we all started it is fantastic. I think I will go out again tonight as I have been so far today with no fags although I really want one now, if I go out it might take myt mind off it for a while longer.

LadyJogsAlot · 01/05/2008 18:14

hi guys!

just did wk 6 day 2 (2 x 10 min) in the rain. was hard! don't like running before dinner, feels like i'm gooing on empty.

hopefully will get day 3 (25mins) done this weekend, if not it'll have to be next week. i'm going home this weekend so not sure if i'll get a chance.

ditavonteesed · 01/05/2008 19:05

Has anybody else been running on a rest day, I went out today and really struggled, I only did 2miles (3k?) and it took me well over 20mins and was hard going.

MommyUpNorth · 01/05/2008 19:39

Thanks for the welcome!

I've done day 2 (of week 1) this afternoon and still don't feel too bad. Actually thought that this run/walk combo went by quicker than the first day.

You all seem much more experienced though with all the k's on the end of the numbers!!

Furball · 02/05/2008 06:06

it was only a few months ago mummyupnorth - that we were starting out - you'll soon catch us up

OP posts:
Furball · 02/05/2008 08:55

determined to go out today, I donned me daps and headed out. only to come home after 1 1/2K coughing like buggery. Think I leave it a few days til anti biotics have kicked in abit more!

Wheelybug · 02/05/2008 09:18

at furball.. Take it easy - if you go out too early you'll probably just make yourself worse and take longer to get back at it. I've had illness breaks of 1-2 weeks and didn't go backwards.

MUN - As Furball says, we were at the start not so long ago.

Wheelybug · 02/05/2008 09:21

oops managed to post that half way through.

MUN - meant to add, you'll be running K's soon.

Dita - I sometimes get days when it just doesn't work, I don't run far and I run slowly. If I have done a longer run the day before and ache a bit its always worse.

Well done everyone else ! I can't believe I'm also four months into running . I would have bet any money I would have given up 3.5 months ago . 2 weeks until RFL .

LadyJogsAlot · 02/05/2008 09:57

had my weigh in today...

i've lost a stone and a pound since i started this in jan

Itsthawooluff · 02/05/2008 10:08

LJAL - coo, well done. And Wheelybug, best of luck for RFL. Mine is 1 June so getting ever nearer!

Ran today, but still very snotty, so did 10 mins + walk 1 +8 mins + walk 2 + 5 mins - just couldn't keep going for the full 28. Note to self - must break this stopping part way through habit.

bramblebooks · 02/05/2008 14:09

Well done Lady!

I've been out today for the first time in a week - ew I've felt grotty! I managed a 6k in about 32 mins, but had to walk a bit too. Strewth I've lost it in the week off!

Going to try to go out again on Sunday - I'm aware that the big run's only a few weeks away now (and that Monday's the bank holiday!).

Not long now Wheely!!

Wheelybug · 03/05/2008 19:29

Hope poorly people are feeling better !

Well done on the weight loss LJA - I seem to reached a plateau and can't get down to a stone loss yet (but almost). Probably doens't help I eat too much .

But... drum roll... I have just run 8.5 K. Am ... actually more like colourwise.... Think I've got groin strain though !

ditavonteesed · 04/05/2008 10:44

I need to go out today but I really can;'t get motivated, having the weekend from hell and going running would feel very selfish.

bramblebooks · 04/05/2008 10:49

my dropped jaw is resting on the keyboard - fabbo, wheely

dita go go go go go go go go go and open the fridge. xxxxxxx

Was going to run today but it is raining lotsly so we'll see!

ditavonteesed · 04/05/2008 10:51
Smile
MommyUpNorth · 04/05/2008 10:53

Way to go Lady! That's great!

Well done Wheely on the 8.5k!!

I hope all the coughs and colds disappear soon.

Had my 3rd and final run of week 1 schedule this morning and DH came with me. He totally out-paced me, and looked much less strained at the end. I can't believe it as he didn't do any in the week, just this one. Oh well, hopefully I'll pass him by soon enough!

So I must go out and buy a smaller music thing today. DH was recommending a tiny memory stick like one. I'm carrying around an ancient portable cd thing, so not the most convenient thing to do, but didn't want to give up before even starting! LOL!

I'm actually really looking forward to graduating to week 2 on Tuesday!

ditavonteesed · 04/05/2008 11:05

Dh said he thought It would be a good idea if I do go running so i might try and do a really long one, I could always walk the last bit if I need to.

ditavonteesed · 04/05/2008 17:50

5k in 25mins.

Furball · 04/05/2008 17:51

I'm still off - can't see myself back before tuesday

Well done to everyone else, sounds like you are all doing fantastically well.

OP posts:
Wheelybug · 04/05/2008 19:27

Wowee Dita - thats fast !

Well done MUN but grrr at your DH. Actually my long run yesterday was due to the fact DH got up that morning and ran 8 miles (and he's been doing less running than me) so I said 'right I'm going to run 5'. Competitive me ??? !!!

Hope you're feeling better soon furball and that the rain stops Bramble !

Minum · 04/05/2008 19:43

Dita well done - I am very . I am thinking of doing a mixed sprint, jog thing tomorrow - short sprint, then usual slow jog, to try and get my speed up overall.

ditavonteesed · 04/05/2008 21:00

Had issues to get out.

Wheelybug · 04/05/2008 22:51

Hope you're ok Dita...
