For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh no, Boco - hope her hair is ok now. I wonder how they could do such a bad job on very straight hair?

rofl at "Bee is a pervert"

sorry

Am sure BBBee is lovely

Boco · 15/03/2008 23:12

I don't think she could see UR, one of those migraines where you're vision goes, but instead of saying anything, she kept hacking away! I should have taken a photo, it was quite funny. My mum arrived to pick up the girls and said 'what the hell have you done to dd1s hair?!'

BBBee · 15/03/2008 23:13

oh I don;t know _ i might be a pervert I am certainly inappropiate. I didn;t mean to make the sex joke I just said something and then when it was on the screen it sounded a bit kind of 'carry on' so I made it so - a baby name thread isn't really the place is it?

UnderRated · 15/03/2008 23:16

At least she stopped before it got any worse, I suppose.

You lot are quite lovely. All this searching for shoes has made me feel all warm and glowy.

BBBee · 15/03/2008 23:16

I like the hair story - kind of thing that happens in a radio 4 play. I cut dds hair last week and it looks a bit crap so I could say it was done by an inflicted hairdreser.

TooTicky · 15/03/2008 23:16

Oh Thank You 100x, you are a darling. I shall email - if it doesn't arrive within a day or so, tell me and I shall resend. System seems unreliable atm.

Boco, was dd upset? The poor hairdresser as well - how dreadful to be feeling worse and worse like that, and how strange she didn't stop saooner.

tbh I didn't understand it so I can't tell how inappropriate it was. I'm sure it as fine. Do another one and see.

TooTicky · 15/03/2008 23:18

Dd2 cut her own hair this week - luckily only fringe and a bit at the side. I tried to tidy it up and failed. She now has a surprised look as her fringe is quite short and always goes sideways. She can't tuck it behind her ear any more.

It was quite funny, BBBee!

TooTicky · 15/03/2008 23:19

Wolfie is sweet.

No dd was fine about it, I don't think she could tell really. Poor hairdresser looked shocking but did wonder why she stoically carried on for so long if she couldn't see. Was just grateful it wasn't my hair [vain]

Boco · 15/03/2008 23:20

I think we're all agreed on Wolfie then?

Right. Now, Mrf&Z left to convince.

UnderRated · 15/03/2008 23:20

I love it when children cut their hair. It will probably be less amusing when DS does it though

Boco · 15/03/2008 23:22

dd2 has got croup tonight

Should go to bed as I know we'll be up and down tonight.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 23:25

I have lost all determination now in my shoe search. I am voting for Ptolomy.

JJ is snoring.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 23:25

Oh no, croup again? And the allergy thing Poor dd2.

Boco · 15/03/2008 23:28

I know, she's not having a good time. Although still quite cheerful. She's non stop coughing upstairs, it sounds awful.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 23:29

Poor her, poor you. It's a repeat offender this croup isn't it?

Boco · 15/03/2008 23:30

It is. Dd1 was the same, every winter until she grew out of it. Hope this is the last year for dd2, it's rubbish.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 23:32

Oh god I hope so too.

Right, I must go and do something now - like read a book or check on my dh's terrible aching arms.

Hope you get some sleep.

UnderRated · 15/03/2008 23:47

Hope she feels better soon, ahundred.

ZippiBabes · 16/03/2008 08:48

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2008 09:39

hello TigerFeet!
sorry things were bad, how are things now?

I didn't even SEE Bee's sex joke. I must concentrate properly. I am going to reread the thread later and inflict all the names on dp so he can wrinkle his nose. It's a very good thread, please keep going.

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2008 09:40

my back up doula is coming to visit this morning
I am telling ds to please get dressed (he has mismatched pyjamas and bunny ears on) as the doula is coming and he looked up very calmly from his very important hammering and said "oh are we having the baby now, then?"
