For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

it is not bad or dramatic or anything, quite tedious, but just the kind of thing I would like to whingily drop into conversation if it was not socially unacceptable

LOL

Tatters - that is somehow very apt, I rather like it

Avi I am about to knit a teacosy for FMV but am waiting for vague measurements so I don't totally balls it up

I haven't quite worked out how to do the photos on flickr yet but I'm sure I will soon.

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 21:51

{{{{Hi Tatties}}}}

Today I ate raisins, tomato (not much), broccoli, peas, carrots, cremeegg (not yet but it's in the fridge calling to me). I'm improving but need to buck up ideas. Just run 2.8 miles

Franny, do feel free to talk bowels Is Avi visiting you this weekend? How lovely

My friend is having a baby very soon (due in 3 weeks) and I'm really excited. She's hoping for a home birth and might have to call me to come and look after the other children. But if I text her and she doesn't reply immediately I think she's having it now!!

pinkspottywellies · 03/03/2008 22:01

BBB please will you put your capitals back. I don't like you lower case it feels wrong I notice it every time!

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 22:04

oh I forgot I had melon and grapes in one of ds's (Rachel's) banana yogurts
I am a big sucker for banana yogurts, I wish you could buy it in a big pot instead of having to get 4 mixed flavours

TooTicky · 03/03/2008 22:17

Oh no, banana yoghurt is quite peculiar.

I had to take ds2 and dd2 swimming this evening. It was freezing cold and I didn't have time to eat my nice hot stew before we went.
I am now eating cold stew.

TooTicky · 03/03/2008 22:18

Goodness, you have all talked a lot. Will go and catch up.

Tatties · 03/03/2008 22:24

Yes kicks are wonderful aren't they (but not when they are doing handstands on your cervix)

ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 22:26

Why do some people come here for a bit and then go away again? Why is that do you think? Do they think we're boring?

TooTicky · 03/03/2008 22:28

Franny, it's not another knobbly poo is it? That poo lurks disturbingly in my memory.

Bbbee · 04/03/2008 06:29

i wonder that 100 - maybe they lurk, maybe it moves too fast or maybe it is too crude and deranged.

PSW - you are the only person to notice - even I didn't notice. I will go and change it though because I like you oh so very much.

BBBee · 04/03/2008 06:31

voila!

FrannyandZooey · 04/03/2008 08:30

'too crude and deranged' surely not?

morning chaps
I am eating banana, asian pear, melon and raisins
baby going berserk kicking again

TooT no not at all knobbly. I know what you mean, it haunts me too sometimes

lullabyloo · 04/03/2008 08:30

ahhhhhhh

We have carpenters in
there is dust

ds's valentine balloons blew out of the window & are caught in the tree outside dancing about in the breeze.
ds has suggested that I lasso the branch, swing onto the tree tarzan style ,crawl along the branch & rescue them

lullabyloo · 04/03/2008 08:31

ooooooooh kicking
how exciting

& mmmm to banana yoghurt too
we buy those
the mango one is my favourite
