For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

yes I think they are blinking scary personally
it is VERY formal, unless things have changed a lot since my day, and you have, as I say, to perform, but you don't get any feedback throughout the whole thing, I mean you don't get praise or applause or whatever normally keeps you going while you are performing

if something goes wrong it is immediately and crushingly obvious because everyone can HEAR it straight away - not like a written exam where you expect to make some mistakes and it doesn't matter, no-one is there with you NOTICING

I have never done a driving test but I would imagine it is rather like that. A rather formal and dour person sitting there watching you doing something tricky and waiting for you to get it wrong so they can write it down

oooh dear do you think I should get some therapy for the memories?

Oh god. It sounds awful. Why are we doing this if it's like that then? Why does anyone do it? We're all going to get an ulcer.

I did this to ds2 a year ago. He had to stand up and recite in front of a whole church hall of people He quite liked it, but we were unprepared as to what exactly this 'festival' was. And I had to apologise afterwards, he was very gracious about it

My poor children. God. I'm going to enter dd for a national spelling bee or something, and I'll say 'oh it's fine, I'm not sure what it is, I think you just read words or something?' and then next thing we know she'll be on television having a nervous breakdown.

Bbbee · 03/03/2008 20:08

oh god I have crashed into something sensitive.

okay. will stop being lazy and read thread.

ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 20:09

Oh no you haven't at all. You have crashed into my appalling lack of sensitivity actually

did you see 100 when I crashed in you were talking about a spelling bee and that is so weird because, um, I can't spell or something.

In fact we did some stuff on dyslexia and I think I am dyslexic and dyspraxic.

Bbbee · 03/03/2008 20:15

100 have you told ds1 to go for a walk yet? Is he out walking the streets of Bath right now, shivering but striding?

I don't know anything about coffee Bee.

Bbbee · 03/03/2008 20:22

I know you don;t sweets.

I am very excited about london. You will drink champagne won't you? Don't make me come down there...

Boco · 03/03/2008 20:22

Has anyone ever had a red banana. My mother had some and she said they sucked all the moisture out of her mouth until it shriveled up.

Boco · 03/03/2008 20:25

I will. I will drink champagne. I'm planning. I am sad that I have to go on my own though, would be much nicer to go with someone. Friend I'm staying with is going to take that day off work and we'll do stuff, and then she wants to go the next day to the exhibition, and is taking some other friends, but it's a bit embarrassing, I'm not sure I want her to, would rather just do the drinking bit, not the looking. Come too Bee, on the Wednesday.

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 21:06

100, I am sorry, I just went quite far back there and got into it a bit much
children are very adaptable and all that, it is only afterwards you think 'what the hell was THAT all about?'

Avi she spammed the board asking for people to contact her for a piece she was writing on support forums. She obviously had no idea how a board like this worked, or netiquette or site rules or anything. Bit dim.

I've eaten sweetcorn and red cabbage and green cabbage and mange tout. And I want to talk to someone about my bowels but I know nobody wants to listen. I tried telling dp but he put his hands over his ears and said 'la la la'. I wonder if the doula would listen. I am paying her enough.

I imagined you singing it to the same tune

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 21:26

no avi I had better not

I met someone today who didn't know what threadworms were! (this is completely unconnected with my bowels btw, except for the fact that I was again telling someone something they did not want to know)
she has 2 school age children and had never heard of anyone having threadworms or even what they were
