For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

we are probably going to be infiltrated by some non deluded and deranged posters... Cod has set an MN challenge - one of the criteria is to ifiltrate a cliquey thread

filthymindedvixen · 05/03/2008 17:01

oh and congratulations to Idris who has won a MN prize!

FrayedKnot · 05/03/2008 17:23

Move along, move along, nothing to be seen here

Do you think that will fool them?

Hello
I had my driving lesson today and it went very well, the instructor was nice and normal and not shouty and didn't want to hold hands, so I'm very pleased

It's Wednesday so am about to walk to school for the gazillionth time.

FrannyandZooey · 05/03/2008 18:28

Oh HOORAH Boco
Dodgy Roger still haunts me

Yes, glad I didn't go back with Roger. This one made me realise even more how wrongo he was. This one was all calm and normal consistently, Roger used to be snappy and serious and frowny and then park up to hold hands for the reassuring bit. There was none of that and the actual driving bit was SO much easier!

I'm trying to cook dinner and bath children and sort washing all at the same time, which is why i've left naked children to throw washing and food to burn as i muse on mn.

MrsCarrot · 05/03/2008 18:58

Roger the Wrongo - he should have that on a sigh on his car.

MrsCarrot · 05/03/2008 18:58

sign

ahundredtimes · 05/03/2008 19:39

Go to it that girl.

DS2 is being very taxing and arsey. He was also very taxing and arsey last night, for a long time, and now he is being again. It is very tiring, and I am very fed up. However it is now quiet, I think dh is showing him Cabaret on his computer upstairs. I don't suppose that is suitable viewing, but right now I don't care.

[slumps down in yurt, eats an apple]

Oh [brightens] but I went to buy some converse today and looked for ages at all the patterned glittery shoes on offer Franny, and thought of you for ages, and then bought brown converse. [brown emoticon]

Well done on dumping Rog and having a successful driving lesson Boe-coe. You'll be passing your test in no time How did you find your new instructor?

Lully that ds didn't get the place he wanted but I bet HE will be wonderful and he'll love it!

Franny at bucking medical convention!!! Glad you're feeling well.

Filthy I'm sure that, being anal, you will do the former whilst wishing you could do the latter and hoping that the tutor will realise!! Hope it goes ok next week.

Hi Slur! Well done! You've eaten far more F&V than me this week! Although today wasn't too bad.

Oh god I've just tried to list and it is bad. It's bloody awful. About 3 portions and I can't go running cause my stuff's still wet from the wash!! I'm going to go swimming instead though I think. So if I'm still here in an hour shout at me to go!

I forgot about the vegetables and stuff.

I have had avocado, lettuce (loads) cucumber, tomatoes, grapes, raisins, an apple and 2 small oranges.

Maybe nearly 8ish.

FrannyandZooey · 05/03/2008 20:20

I am so tired I think I am going to go to bed now
so Greeny and Avi, please excuse the messy parts of my house when you come because I am fricking knackered and have given up tidying

I felt very dodgy yesterday, went to bed at 7.30 with no dinner so was extra hungry today.

ahundredtimes · 05/03/2008 20:36

[dons American Political Observer hat, drawls]

Avi, I just feel this one is toooo close to call. It all hangs on the Super Delegates, and Pennysylvania. Delegate-wise, Obama is ahead, but she may swing it still, just.

ahundredtimes · 05/03/2008 20:36

Pennsylvania

No, don't joke. She's really scared. Come and talk in soothing tones on her thread.
