For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello! I am slowly getting my 10/10 act back together again. Diss sounds lovely. I'm glad you all had a good day. I have been gazing wistfully at the forest all week while administering herbal tea and rice cakes to sufferers of high temperatures on the sofa. Kindly passed on to us all by Dh before he left for Russia.

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:11

think it was because i sent him this with a rose to his work

FrayedKnot · 14/02/2008 20:12

Zippi don;t feel left out

MrsC thanks for the reminder, I have a sore throat and of course I need to gargle with vinegar

Good present, fRANNY

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:12

i had prawns and red pepper and mushrooms and broccoli and cauliflour

and i did gym and swim a mile

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:13

oh and mandarin and two more kiwis

MrsCarrot · 14/02/2008 20:14

Oh, the fried egg sounds lovely. What a nice present.

I don't think the sweets were particularly pointy, no, but they obviously had great presence in her mind. I think she has probably pictured them larger than life, jewel-like and gleaming in the road.

FrayedKnot · 14/02/2008 20:14

Heart-shaped bubble & squeak would be perfect

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:14

i think i already said i did the gym and swim

it seems to have been a very long day to day

FrayedKnot · 14/02/2008 20:14

Hello Sauerkraut!

SauerKraut · 14/02/2008 20:15

Hello FK

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:15

gazing at the forest sounds very romantic

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:16

garglking with vinegar sounds disgusting

SauerKraut · 14/02/2008 20:18

Well, better than nowt on Valentine's Day, seeing as Dh isn't here, I suppose!

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2008 20:22

what if you were gargling vinegar while gazing at the forest?

zippitrippitoes · 14/02/2008 20:22

that would be impossible

SauerKraut · 14/02/2008 20:24

something would bound out from behind a tree and you would choke and swallow it. yuck.

SauerKraut · 14/02/2008 20:26

And by the way, if I may make so bold as to say so, I have had: 3 bowls of veg soup (with my famous flu-fighting chicken stock), an apple, a banana, raisins, a pear, tomato sauce and avocado. Ho yes.

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2008 20:34

I had some cabbage, corn, some salad at lunchtime, and a banana and strawberry smoothie

FrayedKnot · 14/02/2008 21:21

Oi BBBee! Over 'ere!

OverRated · 14/02/2008 21:23

How odd, zippi

I think we'll have a strawberry smoothie for supper.

I have just discovered that I now have to get my presecriptions by mail order

IdrisTheDragon · 14/02/2008 21:28

I am dirking pink bubbles.

We had some asparagus and rocket and tomatoes in our supper.

BBBee · 14/02/2008 21:31

ah hello - got you now - thought something untoward had occured.

Have only been able to skim.

You have done meeting?!?!

TooTicky · 14/02/2008 22:07

Good evening. Are you all in bed now?

I have carried monstrously heavy library books (about 27 of them), carried dd2 quite a bit, delivered newspapers at top speed in freezing cold and altogether covered several miles.
Not done brilliantly for f&v though - no time!

Ds2 made his Beaver promise today

Tatties · 14/02/2008 22:19

Good evening... For the first time in ages I feel like telling you what I ate today but I must go to bed NOW

I am tired

TooTicky · 14/02/2008 22:22

Good night Tatties.
