For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

(this bit is only for FK to read cos she asked and it is really TMI for general consumption)

(erm no they don't think so. Apparently I am just quite wet atm but not leaking. They took swabs and things but they said it may just be one of those pregnancy things )

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 21:00

"I just didn't think it was appropriate to be picturing you naked on a pulic forum!!"

god MN is just no fun anymore

FrayedKnot · 16/02/2008 21:04

I wouldn;t mind if it was cuddles

It's playing tents / reading books / chuffing trains / going to fetch food / drink / having my eyelids prised open that I struggle with

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 21:07

LOL at chuffing trains

I don't like playing chuffing anything at that time in the morning

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 21:08

more LOL, remembering

when he was about 1 and a half we co-slept, and he would wake up at 6, crawl over to get the sling and bring it to me, like a dog bringing its lead for walkies

he wanted to go out to the ruddy park
yes at that time
dp did it a few times in the summer as well

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 21:09

God - I am such a sour sally

I can't even speak to anyone before I have a cup of tea let alone enjoy cuddles and do chuff-chuffs.

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 21:11

more LOL at doing chuff chuffs

oh dear I should go to bed

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 21:43

Well I'm pleased all was well in the end Franny, bottom and all.

We went to a bookshop this afternoon and then to the cinema. It was silly because the weather was so nice, but I felt tired and wanted popcorn and to sit in the dark. I don't even know what we watched, it was rather long and complicated and had Nicholas Cage in it being creepy and caring about his family name.

Hope all well. I know EXACTLY that feeling FK. I'm ashamed to say I still have it, if DH is taking everyone out, and one of them says 'Oh I'll stay here actually'.

Everyone turned up in my bed last night. They were all cold. Even ds1 - who rarely pitches up there at night anymore. He had extremely cold toes.

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 21:47

You must have a big bed then

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 21:49

Yes, is big but NOT that big. I tipped various people out once they had warmed up. I think DS1 was there because he never does, he didn't sleep, he banged about and sighed a lot.

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 21:50

I regularly have 3 dcs in bed with me atm. It is rather lovely. Dd1 quite likes the idea but find it most unrelaxing.

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 21:51

We have a super king size. Thank goodness.

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 21:53

I put up with it in the morning for a bit and Lo is there most of the night but I am not up for family in the bed with toes up noses. No siree. I like my space.

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 21:53

That might be what we have. A super king. It is very nice, it has brass/white bedsteads - with knobs like in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. We bought it when we moved here, DH's feet used to stick out between the bars of our old bed.

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 21:54

No, I don't sleep well when they get in. I have to lie on the outside otherwise I feel trapped.

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 21:54

I find mornings the tricky bit. Ds1 wakes early (6.30 today) and asks the time constantly until the others stir.
Snuggly sleepy people are fine.

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 21:58

I always feel like I've slept well if I wake up on my own though.

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 21:58

do you get any sleep though with all the toss toss turn turn? I would ened up roaring I think.

Our bed is quite big but the room is very small. It is an orangey pine one, not to my taste at all but not an emergency either. It takes up the whole room, end to end, and there is just enough room for a cot next to it where Lo at least starts off the night.

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 22:04

Do you meant TooTs? I'm guessing you do. DD is the most regular visitor and she doesn't toss.

How are things MrsC? Diss sounded like a success. How is ds1?

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 22:10

You've gone to make hospital corners on your huge bed or take a turn around the garden.

[sighs]

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 22:11

not in the garden no!

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 22:12

and I am rubbish at making the bed

Ds1 is ok, a bit better recently but he finds school stressful and hard work. They just will not do the dslexia tests

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 22:13

GP referred him to the ed psy and we got a snotty letter saying that it is done throught the school and she will bring it up at the next school support meeting but we haven't heard anything

MrsCarrot · 16/02/2008 22:18

Now we are like one of those clocks, I have come out as you have gone in and when I turn in with my umbrella you will come out with a sunhat.

ahundredtimes · 16/02/2008 22:21
