For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello Tatties

Boco · 16/02/2008 20:36

oh i meant thanks Toots.

Tatties · 16/02/2008 20:37

"DS had a very long protracted sob/wail/sob/hiccup/wail/sob/wail this morning about not wanting to go out with dH while I got on with stuff I needed to do, so they didn;t go out, and I had to do teh stuff with a zillion interruptions, as you can imagine"

Sounds VERY, VERY familiar FK. Do you get much time to do stuff on your own? I get ratty when I don't get time to myself (I am ratty A LOT)

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 20:37

Wood chopping phase sounds meaningful and possibly euphemistic

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:38

I am slinking in for a bit of sympathy
I have been up the hospital and wearing a gown with my arse out and everything
I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid and they got me to go in to the labour ward
I am fine, was false alarm, am idiot, plus leaky to boot

and before you say it, was NOT urine contrary to all snarky remarks from dp [narrows eyes]

my friend went with me and saved the ruddy day, she was a hoot, and kept me cheerful while lying prone for half an hour waiting to see if whatever it was that was leaking would "pool" (it didn't)

anyway all is well, yay me. Dp says I am a big leaky shammer

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:39

ooh gosh sorry everyone else is being very supportive and listening and everything and I barge in

sorry

pinkspottywellies · 16/02/2008 20:40

Hello all! Boco did you get the crying chocolate?

I bought huge amount of fruit and veg today and had cauliflower and roasted squash, onion and sweet potatoes for tea (with roast pork).

Haven't been running for ages.

Diss sounds nice. Haven't read anything else. Anything I need to know?!

Boco · 16/02/2008 20:40

Oh dear Franny that sounds really scary and horrid. Glad all is ok, must have given you a big scare.

I'm blinking and trying to erase the image of your arse poking out of one of those gowns. Although I'm sure you have a lovely arse. Look see how good I am at sympathy!

Boco · 16/02/2008 20:42

Pink! Yes,, thank you so much, and it arrived on valentines day, so although it wasn't, obviously, you know, valentine related, I could kind of pretend that it was. It was nice. It wasn't anywhere near as flowery as i imagined, and not soap like. Thank you!

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 20:42

Goodness Franny, glad all is well. Bummer of a day though.
This is a hearty slap for your dp. He must not tease.

Boco · 16/02/2008 20:43

Oh I didn't mean that i pretended that you fancy me or anything, just you know, getting nice post on valentines day is ...nice....

Let's talk more about Franny's bottom...

Tatties · 16/02/2008 20:43

Oh Franny are you alright?

pinkspottywellies · 16/02/2008 20:44

Must have been scary Franny. Glad everything's ok.

Sorry everyone. I also barged and didn't listen

pinkspottywellies · 16/02/2008 20:46

I knew what you meant! Glad you liked it and also glad it came on valentines day. Apparently in some cultures it's about friendship not just romance so Happy Valentines Day x

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:47

I am fine, just feeling rather foolish
they said I did exactly the right thing and to come back if it happened again, but still...
I was in a birthing suite, it was really odd being back there

my friend helped me tie my gown so she has seen my cellulitey glory now, but I kicked her out when they got the speculum out

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:48

ok what the devil is WRONG with my arse?

I mean, I know what is wrong with it, i have peered dubiously at it often enough

but it looks ok in clothes, doesn't it?

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 20:50

I didn't even notice your arse. I was too preoccupied with your accent.

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:51

FK I really do loathe it when I need some time to do something and ds will not go out

It makes me feel trapped and narky and not at all like the good and patient parents I like to consider myself as

oh if any consolation the mornings have gone completely to pot again

he is waking up at 5.50 and coming in "I did wait as long as I could" (yeah right, like 40 seconds eh?) "but then I just HAD to come in for a cuddle"

TooTicky · 16/02/2008 20:52
FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:52

a raspberry for you TooT

it can be one of your 10 a day

Tatties · 16/02/2008 20:54

Yes Franny you did the right thing - you have to go in if you're worried. I went in to be monitored (near due date) because I thought ds wasn't moving as much. Of course as soon as they strapped the machine on he started jumping around...

Tatties · 16/02/2008 20:55

Ds has been giving some spontaneous morning cuddles recently and they are rather lovely

FrayedKnot · 16/02/2008 20:57

Oh dear Franny how worrying for you all..glad everything was OK.

Do you mean you are just leaking a little bit, but it isn;t significant?

Mornings sound a delight ours are better during the week (when we have to get up ealry anyway) but at weekends not

Boco would I find your music on iTunes?

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 20:58

well yes there is that
ds sometimes cuddles really close and says "oooooh, Mummy" in this most earnest and blissful way

I just wish he would wait until 7 am to do it...

pinkspottywellies · 16/02/2008 20:58

Yes Franny you're absolutely right to get checked out. You'd feel worse if you didn't and there was something wrong! There's absolutely nothing wrong with your arse (in fact I thought it was rather lovely!) but I just didn't think it was appropriate to be picturing you naked on a pulic forum!!
