For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You have to write a poem, FMV?

Is this for the birthday thing? Can you do a haiku? They're simple enough and don't need to make sense. Or does it need to be meaningful and/ or witty?

OverRated · 15/02/2008 19:29

Gosh, I used a lot of emoticons

OverRated · 15/02/2008 19:32

I'll continue posting merrily by myself... ahundred, did you have a specific Obama-related discussion in mind?

I've just listened to the press-conference about the shooting at NIU. I hate living here

lullabyloo · 15/02/2008 19:48

are you ok OR?

OverRated · 15/02/2008 20:16

Yes, sorry

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2008 20:51

Hello OR! I feel like we hardly ever co-incide so it is nice to see you

the boat is a wooden one, a big old wooden pedal boat, not the foot sort, the sort you do with your hands. Perhaps that is actually called a paddle boat? ermm anyway it is big and wooden and lovely

I wish someone would come and tell me what to do with it

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2008 20:52

oh I have eaten melon and grapes (and a M+S lemon curd yogurt mmmmm hmmmmmm)

Tatties · 15/02/2008 20:57

I don't think I have said to you yet Franny, but I think the boat filled with sand (that is what you are going to do isn't it?) will be just lovely.

I craved cheese and milk massively when I was pregnant

We do the trailing around eateries thing too...

MrsCarrot · 15/02/2008 21:00

Lemon curd yoghurt, mmmmmmm.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. DH was very embarrassed as we left the third restaurant as we had made a bit of a stir on arrival. Moving chairs to fit in the carseat, then ds wakes up so we start lugging in the highchair and move things around again, then we ask for menus at our table and its an order at the bar job then we upped and left abruptly. I get very angry if I pay for and eat bad food so I like to leave and find better pastures. I like the cotton analogy, a blue shutter menu, thats what we needed.

The boat sounds lovely. I spent lots of time on boats as a child, never my own of course, but boats belonging to friends. I always had the sort of friends that had boats and tables.

OverRated · 15/02/2008 21:03

The boat will be fabulous, Franny. Lemon curd yoghurt sounds delicious.

FrayedKnot · 15/02/2008 21:58

I used to just go on a whim but always feel things weren;t quite right so now it takes me 6 months to book a holiday but recently has been good when we've got there, so I feel it's worth it.

My friends had ponies not boats..well, some of them..the rest at least had posable Sindy horses (mine wasn;t), which was enough to make me

MrsCarrot · 15/02/2008 22:00

Yours wasn't posable or Sindy?

DD has a wooden Sindy caravan that we got in the charity shop, it's very sweet but she rarely plays with tbh.

lullabyloo · 15/02/2008 22:53

i dont hate dentists

lullabyloo · 15/02/2008 22:55

i am getting rid of our plastic sand/water table combo & getting a rather clever wooden one concealed in a table/bench.....much nicer

Tatties · 15/02/2008 22:57

Oh no Avi! How is it feeling now? Are you dosed up with painkillers?

lullabyloo · 15/02/2008 22:58

ds is running a temp again & I am awaiting him waking ...right on target for my grandparents visit

ds's mother's day pic is up in M&S
It says 'my mummy' & is a tiny person with a tail

ds says it is not me,but him when he was in my tummy...hence the smallness

OverRated · 15/02/2008 23:55

Oh Avi, it sounds awful. I remember having blood pouring down my face after an extraction when I was 19. I couldn't feel it but after 45 minutes of them pulling the tooth out and hearing my jaw creak as they did it, I was rather hysterical. I drove to my mum's work and was found pounding on the door, tears and blood streaming down my face. Her poor secretary was horrified when she opened the door! Hope you recover soon.

The picture sounds lovely, lully.

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 08:18

Oh GOD Avi
how is it today?

BBBee · 16/02/2008 08:25

oh no avi how horrid

how is everyone else?

I have given up coffee for lent and am much better. Haven't started running yet though.

Franny - I want details of weird craving - coal and lemon curd sandwiches and the suchlike.

FrannyandZooey · 16/02/2008 08:29

no just cheese, butter and carbs
very dull
coal indeed!

ZippiBabes · 16/02/2008 08:52

ZippiBabes · 16/02/2008 08:53

ZippiBabes · 16/02/2008 08:56

i kind of forgot that it has a director and lots of crew and isnt really all a big reckless impulse
