For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday TigerFeet! Sorry you were feeling rubbish though

Is anyone in need of any boys clothes 0-18mo??? If there's anything you're after say so now!

FrayedKnot · 11/02/2008 17:03

Happy belated Birthday TigerFeet, hope you are feeling better

Pink hope meal is fab tonight

I love all the titles

Although I am feeling extremely unromantic

Have eaten some fruit, and realized we have hardly any food and I am making some kind of mashed potato with things in for supper

is there another thread about zippi's weekend or is she keeping quiet?

I like the pea one - I am too ill educated forgetful to get the shakespeare one.

I went to tesco greengrocers and they had some fruit exotica on sale and so we had a fabulous fruit frenzy for pudding.

Dragon fruit is vile and pomelos are nice and tesco finest oragnes are orangey.

I had vegetable soup for lunch, apples, salmon lazy bitch pasta for supper then fruit stuff.

Am 10/10 today. Wahey!

BBBee · 11/02/2008 19:12

avi - mine eat mashed potato stuff more readily if it is shallowed fried - but that is probably not the solution you are after!

ZippiBabes · 11/02/2008 19:15

that is a strange poem even by 10/10 standards

happy birthday tigerfeet

i am cooking dinner

i did write a little bit about my weekend

and i started this thread huge wondeful flower paintings and hug wonderful pink marble foetuses

ZippiBabes · 11/02/2008 19:17

warning may be boring reading lol

i had an absolutely fantastic weekend did loads of stuff and it was brilliant

polysics at the carling academy was great fun

saw rather intellectual exhibition at the hayward which was ok..interesting in part and didn't really work in others but thought provoking rodchenko was chance to see a lot of photos...so that filled some gaps

nice food in the cafe bar there called concrete

marc quinn at white cube evolution was gorgeous

had a very nice thai meal in islington before the gig

spent quite a lot of time lazing etc listening to nice music

went to the pub and watched man u lose to man c and went round lloking at underwear and watched the sunset sat in bushy park and drove home at 1 am ...did have a biot of a panic finding my way to the m40 and suspect as i got flashed i might have picked up my first ever speedo

laughed a lot andf generally forgot about everything

a bity sad that i will eventually ge thurt from this relationship but can't bring myself not to enjoy it for the mo

TigerFeet · 11/02/2008 19:23

Thanks for all the good wishes . Feeling better today but still coughing. May have belated wine tonight.

Hurrah for zippi's weekend - sounds like a lot of fun . Any particular reason why you are going to get hurt? Or just a gut feeling? Glad you are enjoying the moment

Aforementioned porridge
2 apples
2 pears, lovely and ripe and juicy and lovely
1 clementine
turkey steaks with carrots, pointed cabbage, broccoli & mushroom rice

Probably about 9.5 portions.

[disappears off for orange juice]

OverRated · 11/02/2008 19:23

I have been known to do the fried mashed potato thing too.

I have dried dragon fruit which looks very pretty but is rather vile. And I am not convinced that some of the seeds are not actually maggot eggs so is rather off-putting

I have eaten: Quinoa salad with mango and avocado & red cabbage coleslaw. I think that makes 5 (if I can count the quinoa? please?) Still got all afternoon to go so will make it 10 today.

Zippi- are you ok?

Hope you feel better soon, Tigerfeet.

Am impressed with Avi's protest.

PSW, I LOVE your Shakespeare. That gets my vote.

filthymindedvixen · 11/02/2008 19:40

Zippi that weekend sounds fabulous and sophoisticated and fun

I also second the romeo and juliet title!

We have hasd the most beautiful day out in our van in the dales, with shimmery sunshine and mellow mists and waterfalls and woods and herons and ruins....sigh

I am a sort of lentil weaver and sort of not. Very hippyish tastes and a hippy house but I didn't breastfeed after 12months or co-sleep. i'm not veggie. I like make up. I don't have organic veg delivered and my children have way too many elecetronic toys.

OverRated · 11/02/2008 19:48

lol FMF. Glad you enjoyed the Dales. I miss the counrtyside. And hills. Apparently, Chicago is actually flatter than your average pancake.

Glad you had such a good weekend zippi- I wrote my previous post before I saw yours but took ages to post mine so you got there first.

FrayedKnot · 11/02/2008 19:50

Actually in the end our mashed potato was on the side, I had scrambled eggs with leeks, peppers and peas, DS had scrambled eggs and just peas...

DH had leftover casserole and mashed potato

This was scraping the bottom rather so I have hastily done an on-line shop for tomorrow...

Zippi your weekend sounds great, but I am sorry that you feel it may not be leading anywhere positive...

ZippiBabes · 11/02/2008 19:53

dont feel sorry...he is really really nice

but i am realistic so will enjoy it for the moment

BBBee · 11/02/2008 19:57

nicew weekend zippi

I am not lentil weaver but with those tendencies.

-I breast fed both children for two years and still co-slept

-I shop at supermarkets - but organically

-I drive to and for work

-I don;t take the pill

-I watch telly

-My children go to school and play on computers

-Um, I dye my hair, shave my legs and wear glittery stuff on my face.

filthymindedvixen · 11/02/2008 19:58

Hoorah for glittery stuff

FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2008 20:04

you are all at least semi lentilly and I don't know why everyone is in such a hurry to deny it

it is nothing to do with glittery eyeshadow it is an INNER VIBE OF VEGETABLINESS

ah we still need a title

I liked a lettuce for you lychee actually LOL but it is not valentiney and I bet no-one gets it

how about love pea tender

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2008 20:05

and avi no I didn't get anything

OP posts:
filthymindedvixen · 11/02/2008 20:07

love pea tender is sweet.

I am happy to be considered a lentil-weaver, as long as no one expects me to not use deoderant...

Tatties · 11/02/2008 20:27

I like love pea tender

FrayedKnot · 11/02/2008 20:36

Is liking the Smiths another prerequisite of 10/10?

Boco · 11/02/2008 20:44

How about Love lettuce straight from your heart.

Am on an Elvis roll. And actually I just spoke to my friend called Elvis. But not The King. He lives in Barnes.

Did no one like my Unforvegetable? Or Turn Around, Stir Fries? I have been working very hard on Veg lyrics. Exhausted.

I'm not very lentilly. Semi-lentil. More split-pea.

FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2008 20:52

Oh you lentil Judases
I am not staying here being the only one claiming lentilliness
Avi is coming to visit soon and she will tell you all about the bleach and my Ikea furniture and ds's electronic toy mountain

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2008 20:53

I like love lettuce
I liked all of them, every single person's title
but now we have to choose ONE

OP posts:
Tatties · 11/02/2008 21:02

Oooh love lettuce is good too. What was the Shakespeare one?
