For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I like the lovage addition, pink.

OverRated · 10/02/2008 22:49

I love the shakespeare and Love pea tender. You are all so clever!

Bean lasagne and a banana. But its sunday and I tend not to eat much of anything on Sundays.

The folk festival was lovely. I did singing. But I have a cold and can't hear anything so probably sounded terrible. A nice man helped me though so all was ok.

I straighten my hair from time to time too. I am definitely not a Lentilweaver. But, perhaps an aspiring one?

The forest school sounds lovely. As does walking in the Broads . It was a bit nippy outside. Minus 28c in fact

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 22:50

Minus 28?
And I thought our bathroom was cold...

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 22:51

I am undeniably lentilly.

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:01

Yes, it brings a whole new meaning to the word cold. It hurts soooo much and I have to go out in it again. Grrrr.

Why does my honey have a sell-by date on it? I though honey couldn't go off.

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 23:02

Ignore the sell-by date. It won't actually go off. They have found honey in Egyptian tombs which is still okay. It's just a formality.

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:09

Aah, ok - I was thinking about Egyptian honey. I thought an 18 month sell-by date seemed rather short. Still, it won't last that long anyway, I was just wondering.

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 23:11

It's just health and safety madness nonsense.

What time is it where you are?

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:24

You're up late, Tooticky. You ok?

It's almost 5:30 here (evening). I am eating ginger.

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 23:26

I'm restless because a friend is almost certainly in labour. Have been hovering on her thread. Really ought to sleep though....

Isn't it odd that different places have different times? I mean, I know why, it's just bizarre to think about.

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 23:27

Just ginger?

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:30

Well, it's candied ginger

It's always a bit unsettling when someone you know is in labour. I always feel odd about going to bed when someone is in labour. No idea why...

The timezone thing is a bit strange. Late at night, the aussie MNers come out and they are on tomorrow. Before I've even gone to bed. It is very strange chatting with someone who is on the next day to you. I'm waffling now. Must go. Hope Filly is ok (assume that's who you mean)

Get some sleep, won't you?

TooTicky · 10/02/2008 23:34

Yes, it's Filly. Didn't know if you knew her.

So, is that crystallised ginger?

Hang on, you're 5.30 Sunday, yes? So in half an hour I'll be on the next day - just! You're not on Monday already, are you?

Must go to bed!!

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:42

Yes, I'm still on Sunday afternoon.

The ginger says "uncrystallised, candied ginger"

I'm not sure what that means. Other than lots of sugar.

OverRated · 10/02/2008 23:48

obviously the packet said that, not the ginger. It wasn't talking to me. Honest...

FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2008 08:17

Good morning all
have had pineapple, apple, raisins, grapes

am not sure we have a consensus on a new title?

ZippiBabes · 11/02/2008 08:18

i am back...hope you allhad a good weekend

IdrisTheDragon · 11/02/2008 08:31

Hello.

I am eating muesli.
And fruit salad.

I liked the title with the peas in it.

TooTicky · 11/02/2008 09:09

Hello Franny
Hello Zippi
Hello Idris

I only switched the computer on to see if there was news of Filly.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/02/2008 09:14

Hello TooT. I also looked at Filly's thread - hope that no news is good news.

TooTicky · 11/02/2008 09:16

I'm sure she's fine, just too busy to update us

Oh, I have another pair of trousers, would you like them? Age 2-3 and way too big for dd2.

MrsCarrot · 11/02/2008 09:50

I have had kiwi, melon, bluvberry, pear and passionfruit salad with granola, oats and yoghurt. I resisted Skippy and toast and I will resist the croissants that ds1 has gone out to buy.

There was no consensus on a title, no. Which was your favourite, Franny?

TigerFeet · 11/02/2008 11:07

Morning all

It was my birthday yesterday but I am ill and spent the day lolling on the sofa whilst dh valiantly tried to stop dd climbing on me. Feeling better today though so have come to work (harrumph).

Porridge with dried fruit for breakfast. I have very little appetite tbh.

I am an rubbish lentil weaver I think. I compost, try and shop locally, fair trade etc. But I am a meat eater and I drive my car 15 miles each way to work for a company that supplies the big supermarkets. Most un 10/10 of me . We do make houmous though [grasps straws].

I thought of a bit more for the Romeo title. (thinking about this too much!)

Deny thy burger and refuse thy bacon, and if thou wilt not, be but corn my lovage and I will no longer be a cabbage head.

Sorry.

Going out for our belated anniversary meal tonight. Hope it's better this time!
