pn, agree with what's been said - I'd give yourself a break from pottying if I were you, with dd being ill, sounds like it's just gonna be a big a headache for you & frustrating all round. I think girls seems to know when they're ready and take the lead. There's no rush.

Aren't you kind mm buying him an x box!! D'you ever feel like confiscating it?

Have been FINE lately without fags. Fags not smoked: 763. Am gonna run tonight after a week of no activity apart from madly clattering on pc, work overload.

Am SO looking forward to xmas hols and having time with kids and a two week breather from work. What you all up to?

thanks fg, got the cheque today! did you get the oils, i posted them out in the morning, god i hope they reach you in one piece!

dh was/is a great help with the kids, i've since discovered after talking to other mums that he probably does a bit more than the average partner. this however is no excuse for rudeness and i have indeed confiscated the machine for a week! he did whole puppy-dog eye thing whilst saying he was sorry but i'm a hard mama and he has been duely (sp?) punished boys and their toys...

LOL at fest-puss, couldn't help being all dyslexic and reading it the other way round

fg, if you go out for a run well done you as i'm freezing just sitting here! i could actually see my breath in the kitchen yesterday whilst cooking....

Hello all, dd in nappies this morning which really pissed her off and she's been in a real strop about it but I think she's just got to wait a bit longer. Her personality wants to do it but I don't think her body is ready for it. In fact I think so far that's slightly the story of her life: she's very bright and verbal with an amazing memory and imagination but she's (shhh ... don't tell her...) a bit of a 'wimp' physically. She's quite small and took AGES before she even almost climbed something. She walked relatively early, 11 months, but it was always a bit of a puppet-like wobbly kind of walk.

So that's that for now.

I don't like jinglejanglenot. What else can I have? I've never had a Christmas name before ... I was posting here last year but had another name back then.

Hmmmm, could choke on a smoke right now. Might have a neat vodka if the urge gets me.
LOOONNNGGG DAAAYYY too much stuff to do and whenever I go to do something my brain says no you have stopped smoking you cant do that without a fag in your mouth so leave it for now. i cant do anything other than the daily grind without that exzcuse coming in my head.
So Phone calls and letters etc are all being left undone.

Um can I join this thread I am finding not smoking very hard at the moment.

I was smoking 20-30 a day when I got pregnant and quit as soon as I found out which was incredibly hard. Started again almost as soon as DD was born (Nov 2003) but only on 5 or so a day. Then I quit this April and was doing so well until this month.

I have no had any today. I had 4 yesterday. Urgh. Its mainly at work which is why its hard. I get stressed and a lot of people I work with smoke. HELP ME!

DH also smokes which makes it very hard.

Welcome Jennisaurus, you'll get all the support you need here! I know how hard it is even if you only smoked the few and with a partner who smokes makes it extra hard. my dh doesn't a couple of the other girls' do, so they'll be able to help you out there.

Wow Jenni, it sounds like you were doing really well. Its irritataing that everyone else around you is smoking isnt it?
What were you doing for your breaks whilst you werent smoking?
Best thing to do is let them all wander off for a fag and you have a nice cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate int he warmth while they freeze.
Its hard achieving the right frame of mind though isnt it?

You're in a really good position though in that your nicotine addiction is probably quite low and it's the psychological side you've got to conquer.
