OP posts:
charliecat · 30/11/2004 21:12

Man thats worse that my thoughts, we do not enjoy that??? We do not???

charliecat · 30/11/2004 21:21

BTW...Im thinking that MAYBE that hypnotherapy did work as when im not conciously thinking about the fags/smoke/not smoking whatever...my mind has been freely wandering to other nicer things...or even nothing, which is totally unknown to me and very noticable (as im so not used to it)
Hmmmmm I wonder....if it really has rerouted my brain on the right path???>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

prefernot · 30/11/2004 21:32

It HAS to work cc. It cost 90 quid!!!

minkmama · 30/11/2004 22:10

GGGRRRR... just had a barny with dh.

ds1 started crying and as he settled, i asked dh to lie down with him whilst i finished off what i was doing (printing out label for fg's order) and then ds2 started crying and they were both at it. so i'm waiting for my label to print and he comes out and says 'has seb had his milk or what?' and i say 'of course' and ask him why he's talking to me like that and he snaps 'some help would be nice'.

so i'm gone for 5 f*g mins. yesterday night when i was shattered, he put both the boys in bed with me as usual but ds1 was all scratchy and he went off to play xbox and i spent an hour trying to get both to sleep. then ended up all awake yet with burning eyes....did i get any help THEN?????

WTF, it's always harder for them isn't it? do i call him up at work when they're yelling their heads off during the day?!!

am so pissed off, i know it's a silly tiff, but i'm off fags and would happily shove a packet down my throat right now!!

ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

OP posts:
minkmama · 30/11/2004 22:11

btw pn, i can't explain the cold/smoking thing, weird isn't it?!!

have calmed down now

OP posts:
charliecat · 30/11/2004 22:19

LOL...yeah right should have saw me 6 hours later then, shut in dds room with door shut crying like a baby that it was soooooooooo unfair.
Doing the cold turkey bit though has made me realise there is no choice, you cannot smoke here there and stop and start. you just have to stop or else you have to suffer it AGAIN later when you realise you dont really want to be smoking.
So eye opener if nothing else, although of course I should have known that before its reinforced it somewhat!
Dp says hes not coming to Tanyas nativity.
He says hes got to work hes asked and they have said no.
I was sooo pissed off, he NEVER has time off they have to force him to take holidays and hes like a fucking lap dog to them. In return he gets, yes a wage, but fuck all else. They appreciate the ones who do take days off etc as they appreciate when they do go in...you know???
So he didnt want to talk about it and so hes gone to bed without it being disgused.
Oh and we could wangle it to be max 40 mins away from work. And he still didnt say OK we will work round it or at least try...
I think what makes it worse actually, is that my boss said this morning I should do job (A) on the day of the nativity, which would mean standing behind Tanya Banya and not seeing her doing a thing....and I said Yes ok fine Yep...then I thought...Hold on a minute. NO
So I then went back and said I would be GUTTED not to see Tanya doign her bit and could I do something else Job B C OR D so I would be able to see her and easily herd some shepards together......
She did say but youll see her on the dress reharsal...and she could see by the look on my face that that is NOT the same....so Im nnow going to do B...

I think its the insinuation for her and dps boss that THIS DOESNT MATTER well actually, it bloody well does. And im sure these F*ing people watched their dds and ds@s at their nativitys many moons ago...
Rant Rant Rant..

charliecat · 30/11/2004 22:21

LOL Mink we must have both sat here ranting away at the same time...you can shove a packet of fags in your mouth....just dont smoke any
...waiting for flying object to come through monitor.

minkmama · 30/11/2004 22:33

Ha ha CC, in a minute pn will also be on telling us about her lousy day...but it's nothing to do with lack of nico!!!! these rants are about something real

OP posts:
charliecat · 30/11/2004 22:37

OMG MM do you not hate it that when you do something for the ds's it is like invisible work, it just gets done quietly and effiently...but when dh does it it is a big deal like dressing one child from head to toe...or cooking dinner...

charliecat · 30/11/2004 22:38

Night Night BTW Ponder that last post and get back to me Night Allxx

charliecat · 30/11/2004 22:46

Opps havent managed to get to bed yet, have tryed the aloof thing FG doesnt work, at all...I just obsess about trying not to obsess!

fionagib · 01/12/2004 09:36

I am so aloof about fags, they are an ex boyfriend I do not give a sh*t about, I can walk right by them with my head in the air....

(well, at least am TRYING to be aloof!!)

Yeah mm men's efforts have to be SO appreciated - my dh sorts the washing (when the pile is bigger than he is) about once a year - and announces, 'I HAVE SORTED THE WASHING.' Cue fanfare, trumpets, fireworks, rapturous applause... yey!!! What an utterly fantastic achievement dh! I do the same job TWICE A WEEK.

Poor mm, sorry my labels were involved in fractious moment with dh!

cc, it wounds like it could be working... you have been re programmed, re-routed... (in robotic voice): YOU. ARE. CHARLIECAT. and you are. a NON. SMOKER...

CIGARETTES.
DO.
NOT.
INTEREST.
YOU.
ONE.
BIT...

xxxxx have a good day all!

minkmama · 01/12/2004 11:39

it was nothing to do with your labels fg, just his bloody xbox and trying to get back to playing it (which i bought him on account of being such a helpful partner...taking the P*ss or wot?!!)

have relisted on ebay - let's hope someone buys my oils! it's a difficult sell really, such a tangible product so people are wary of buying something they can't smell...sorry, am rambling on as ds1 is at nursery and ds2 sleeping so i've got a bit more time than usual.

btw, ds1 is waking at night demanding 'bit' (biscuit) and not having the settled sleep he used to...do you think it might be to do with nursery? is he having nightmares?!! he did this at 5.30am and eventually went back to sleep but my god this is not working for either of us!

also, do i need to get him vaccinated for chicken pox as there is some in the nursery...can't remember anything!

any 'ARRGGGHHHS' out there today?

OP posts:
minkmama · 01/12/2004 11:40

my posts never say anything about smoking...SOOO misleading

OP posts:
prefernot · 01/12/2004 11:56

AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

minkmama · 01/12/2004 12:21

how's it going with dd?

OP posts:
prefernot · 01/12/2004 13:33

Well, I've got her cough and I'm menstrual so in an even worse frame of mind than I might be but it feels like things are in a kind of chaos I can't control. She's not sleeping because of coughing, the potty training's just crazy really and I want want want a smoke ...

prefernot · 01/12/2004 13:36

Mm, by the way, why would you vaccinate against chickenpox? I thought it was meant to be quite mild if they get it very young? Almost for them to be 'encouraged' to get it young, i.e. my mum speaks of 'chickenpox parties' they used to hold when I was growing up! Didn't work for me though I didn't get it until I was 21 and it was horrible then, left me ill for weeks and weeks.

minkmama · 01/12/2004 14:49

i don't know, i didn't know whether or not you were supposed to? just the note on the wall scared me a bit and i wasn't sure if i'd missed something about vaccinations...

i was lucky and had mine when i was 2 so don't remember a thing. i think the whole scratching thing got me scared because of his eczema as well... but i suppose if we've dealt with that we can deal with any kind of scratching!

have to get him in 45mins so will go and savour my last bit of 'freedom'!

we tried a re-usable training nappy the other day as i use normal re-usables at home, but only succeeded in getting the bed wet during a nap. obviously not ready....

OP posts:
Festivepussy · 01/12/2004 19:38

Hi Everyone its CC with a more festive name...which made me giigle at first!
Mink chicken pox would be HELL with your ds. OMG It was bad enough with bog standard skin.
My dds didnt sleep properly for DAYS when they had it, you cant vaccinate AFAIK and there no guarentee he will or wont get it.
Get stocked up on piriton and calamine JUST IN CASE.
No mad fags thoughts today...bliss xx

prefernot · 01/12/2004 21:01

So is this a permanent name change cc / fp?! I like it actually. What about Pussy Galore too if you fancy being a bit Bond?

After today, all I can say is that tomorrow dd will more than likely be back in nappies. I'm not having another day like today. It's too soon. She's too young. She knows what to do, i.e. she sits on the potty and almost always wees when I ask her to. But she NEVER knows when she needs to go of her own accord. Maybe I could be kind of casual and have the potty around at home for her to use when she fancies it? Or is that confusing matters?

I'm such a dork of a mum at times. I don't have a clue!

mammya · 01/12/2004 21:11

Hi everyone.
Prefernot I think it's fair to say that your dd is not ready... I think casually leaving the potty around is a good idea, she might just decide to use it when she's ready.

CC/FP is that your Christmas name? I haven't decided whether I'm getting one or not.

prefernot · 01/12/2004 21:29

Hmmm ... how about me? Jinglejanglenot? PreferSanta? Snownot?

minkmama · 01/12/2004 22:23

LOL at your xmas name cc! i couldn't think of one for myself! thanks for the chickenpox advice and good to know you're feeling good today!

pn, ds1 is exactly like your dd. i've got one potty upstairs in the bathroom and one downstairs in the toilet but he doesn't know how or when to let me know he needs to go. plus he still wees occasionally on the carpet before bath for the laugh!

my computer's going all weird and i'm scared i may disappear any moment so if i do, you know where i am!

major craving after dinner...gone for now but i'm finding it really hard this time!

OP posts:
Festivepussy · 01/12/2004 22:53

JingleJangleNot is good. MerryMinkMama for Mink.
MerryMammya and FestiveFiona WinteryWillow2...I could go on.
They didnt have christmascat BTW or I would have went with that, the next thought was festivepussy and I thought it was rather amusing so I went with it!
Leave the potty round and forget the potty training till she takes some interest herself, most folks leave it till summer also as its easier to get clothes etc washede and dryed and they can run about nappyless but not freezing.
Secur is over here One week free..if you would like to go and say Well Done and heres the counters for her
BTW MINK Use the library for net access if your goes caput xxxx
