For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh NO NO NO. Sorry. I was being silly.

Here

[passes vast pink rhubarb pie to MrsC]

and I'd like to give one to TooT too because I should, but she'll have to wait until summer and have an unscreamy one, because that will be best.

Franny. You can have one too. There might be an engagement ring in it you know.

[ardent]

MrsCarrot · 09/01/2008 18:41

I also agree with NY friend. I cannot fathom how it actually works and that is annoying as it doesn't make any sense, yet it works.

MrsCarrot · 09/01/2008 18:44

we could spin the pies on the table in a sort of wizardy trick and see who gets the ring.

ahundredtimes · 09/01/2008 18:45

[doubtful, looks about]

Who's around?

MrsCarrot · 09/01/2008 18:45

but that wouldn't work because Toot's pie will be brown and mine and Franny's would be pink. Hmmm.

ahundredtimes · 09/01/2008 18:45

Because if they got the ring, then we'd have to row.

ahundredtimes · 09/01/2008 18:46

There's a topping on the pie. It's pastry. It's nice.

i worry now. I worry about all the people leaping up from the table and saying 'Oh I'm not hungry' and 'Oh rhubarb will rot my teeth' and then it'll just be me looking forlorn at the table.

MrsCarrot · 09/01/2008 18:46

too much virtual rhubarb, I am going to cook actual food now.

MrsCarrot · 09/01/2008 18:47

I will eat all the pies.

ahundredtimes · 09/01/2008 19:27

In the usual course of events there is usually one reason why these two things come together, but I'm imagining not in this case Zip?

Avi eat the pie, be careful not to crunch on the diamond.

Yes, 100x and I used to live together in a dark shed where we grew rhubarb. We would discuss American politics at length and wear nothing but cardigans...

It is between Leeds, Wakefield & Bradford & is where something like 90% of the world's rhubarb used to be grown. And, yes, they grow the forced stuff too. I want rhubarb crumble
