For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

"pathology results from my op"

OverRated · 04/01/2008 21:39

Aw, I miss that age, possum. There's something very lovely about co-sleeping although I never got much sleep when we did it.

Long story as to why I'm in Chicago, ahundredtimes but basically came over here with ex's work. DS seems to be developing a rather strange accent although my friends tell me he sounds very British

I think I need one of those lamps - I wonder where you can get them.

Am very impressed with anyone doing Race for Life - I think DS and I should try something like that this year. Must investigate.

Am almost out of chocolate, thankfully, and am on a mission to buy nothing but F&V (& milk & cereal) when I go to the shops.

TooTicky · 04/01/2008 21:39

FK - we went there! We went to that very one!!!!! The dcs were allowed to collect eggs in the mornings and it is right by a lake and we went in the boat and explored and it was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boco · 04/01/2008 21:43

Anorak that's such good news! You must be relieved. I hope you're recovering from the op, you sound very positive and strong - well done for the good food plans.

I'm going to Tenerife btw.

BBBee · 04/01/2008 21:44

Where have you all gone? Are you all blue somewhere? Come here and I shall shine a lamp of brightness -into-your-eyes- upon your lovely faces.

ahundredtimes · 04/01/2008 22:34

Bah. The strike through facility failed me.

lionheart · 04/01/2008 23:20

Hello everyone. Boco, haven't you gone yet? We are waiting for postcards and all that.

Hello Wombling and TooT and 100 and anorak.

Have had a better 10/10 today. On about six and did the exercise thing BUT also,

when the sky turned that funny colour and all the lights were on and it was still the the middle of the day,

was strangely compelled to go into a chippy.

It was just like an X file.

I need a lamp.

OverRated · 04/01/2008 23:38

Ooo, a chippy. I miss my good old chippy

What do you want to know about Chitown, ahundredtimes? Tis wonderful. But cold!

What is everyone doing for the weekend? I was contemplating seeing Sweeney Todd.

FrayedKnot · 05/01/2008 19:08

Hello everyone

TooT I am quite spooked out...I picked that one at complete, complete, random! There are loads and loads and I didn;t look through all of them.

I thought it suited us because you couldn;t get a name more like an Astrid Lindgren invention than Sunnerby Sodersgard in Smaland, and the pictures looked just like something painted by karl Larsson. And they grow strawberries!

OverRated · 05/01/2008 19:22

No, no... they eat Lingonberries, don't they? Not strawberries. Scandinavians only eat things sold in Ikea, surely? What a strange coincindence!
