For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

linheart, no. I was just worried there'd only be me at the meet-up and I decided I'd get vegetables to represent the absent 10/10nners and have a bizarre tea-party, offering lentil-cookies to pumpkins and squashes with your faces drawn on...
I am nervous. And getting surreal.

In the charity shop this morning, ds2 said in his lovely clear little voice, "Mum, I just had a sick parp and my pants are wet. Do you know what a sick parp is? It's when you parp and wetness comes out of your bottom."

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:34

There are extra links because originally it was Buckingham Palace and then LL said, quite rightly, that it should be Butternut Palace. So I started another thread. And then Franny did an extra link so she didn't feel left out.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:35

yes yes I bustled in and put you all straight

I was not going to be left out if there was linkage being done, i can tell you

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:38

Ah but you haven't found the portion links, have you? They disappeared when we fell off the edge of the world. I did look for some new ones but nothing looked clear and concise enough.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:40

I've got them. They're on my desktop you know.

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:42

That's why I couldn't find them!

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:42

yes I am not letting any old riff raff get their hands on them

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:43

This time tomorrow it will all be over. I can't work out if this makes me feel more weird or less weird.

Fine. Keep your links. They were old and smelly anyway.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:45

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:46

and we can stay until 3 actually so some of us will still be sitting eating cake

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:47

lullabyloo · 17/11/2007 14:48

Toot...I was feeling so miserable about it all after weeks of looking forward to finally meeting you all that I was very unmotherly & rung dh half an hr ago & asked him to look after ds tomorrow so that I could whizz up & see you all for a bit......>>
But....ds cried at the thought of it,dh refused & said he will be too ill to consider it & I am definately feeling worse by the hour

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:49

nope 3 pm

although I feel it is not terribly likely that our children are going to sit there nicely for 2.5 hours

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 14:49

Oh Lully

wait and see how everyone is tomorrow

I am so sorry about the timing of this, but you never know how things will be in the morning

and if not there will be another time

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 14:51

Oh Lully, I wish there was something I could do!
You and ds may suddenly feel better... maybe after a good night's sleep...
