For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

There's a song called build me up buttercup or something like that, if my memory serves me at all (which is always doubtful).

I have three minutes left before turning into a pumpkin.

pinkspottywellies · 22/11/2007 22:26

TooT, don't feel bad! She's ok, you're ok. It's all ok

Tatties · 22/11/2007 22:28

TooT I don't think you are bad or mean at all.

And of course it is Ay-vi!

TooTicky · 22/11/2007 22:29

Thanks Pink and Tatties

I definitely say Avvi and not Ayvi.
I still want to guess what the inappropriate thing was - did we find out?

I just watched Half Nelson - about a crack addict teacher, it was bleak and sad, but good.

I loved father christmas and the whole thing when i was little - it was so exciting. And as i got older i realised what it was about, but pretended to believe for a while - and even the pretending was exciting. DD1 has asked me about whether or not he's real, she knows, but she's also at the stage of wanting to believe enough to almost make a conscious decision to suspend disbelief for a while. She's very excited. It's a game, it's a ritual.

Boco · 22/11/2007 22:41

And Avvi, it is Boe-Coe!

lullabyloo · 22/11/2007 22:41

Nooooooooooooooooooooo....it is Avi
of course it is

Hmm, earlier bedtimes would be great if my other dcs were not such night owls. And I can't go to bed before them. Not only that, I have to fiddle about with packed lunches after they are in bed. And catch up on MN of course.

Father Christmas was very magical for me when I was little. My mum didn't have Father Christmas and still feels it deeply I think.
Not criticising anybody's decision btw.

TooT ds is the same... he can go without the nap, but he is a nightmare by tea time when he doesn't have it. I think he still needs it mostly, but often he won't sleep in the day. Can also really identify with feeling touched out.

I am reading this thread with your accents in my head. It is nice

TooTicky · 22/11/2007 22:46

Good night LL

Avi, how old is ds? Dd2 is 2 and 4 months and a bit. More than a bit. Her birthday is 1st July.

I don't know what your accent is TooT - but I really like reading people's posts and knowing what they sound like

I must bed now

pinkspottywellies · 22/11/2007 22:52

TooT I wish I'd heard your accent. I actually didn't even hear you speak
