For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am going to watch newsnight review first. Beowulf, and Sophie Hannah. I like her.

Goodnight.

Boco · 16/11/2007 23:10

Oh MrsC didn't realise you weren't staying over, that's a disappointment, i was planning on finishing all those conversations with you in the corridor.

I've actually only thought about packing, i'll have to do it in the morning now.

zippitippitoes · 16/11/2007 23:11

sophie hannah is poet turned novelist eh

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 23:12

Oooh, they're not liking Beowulf. Surprise surprise. I'd quite like to see it on the Imax.

Boco - We will finish them in Pulse. Soon.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 23:17

Yes, Zippi, think this is her new poetry collection though, one with a rainbow cup on the cover, can't remember the title. Pessimism something? It was shortlisted for TS Elliot this year. I can't wait up for it though my eyes are closing.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 23:19

Oh, and Toot, no e-mail. We are jinxed.

IdrisTheDragon · 17/11/2007 07:50

Hello .

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:31

Good vibes please! Ds2 has been lightly sick this morning
Dd2 seemed to be up for much of the night shouting for milk and water and FIDGETING.
And we have to be up rather early tomorrow. Train leaves at 7.25, have to leave house by 6.45 at the latest. Oh heck.

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:34

And dp was supposed to be looking after small people while I had a bath but he has gone to bed so I am sitting here in T-shirt and knickers with greasy hair and dangerous armpits.

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:36

Ds1 appears to have slept in his school shirt, boxer shorts and a hat

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:39

Dd2 is holding a jigsaw and rocking and singing to it. It is her baby

MrsCarrot · 17/11/2007 08:45

Oh no, Toot, is he ever normally sick, you know, like with excitement? Hope you get a bath a feel better in a bit. The e-mail came - thank goodness. I thought we were going to have to swap phone numbers.

Morning Idris.

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:47

Well, he's normally only sick if he has eaten unsuitables (at parties, etc) but this was only foam really. I am optimistic, I think.
Glad the email came

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 08:49

I am running a bath anyway. I may only get 2 minutes or so but ds1 will put it to good use so it won't go to waste.

MrsCarrot · 17/11/2007 08:54

Sounds like our house. Bath sharing. When, oh when, can we get a combi boiler?

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 09:25

Ah, that's better

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 09:26

I'm going to work

anyone feel like starting a new thread?

Don't let us fall off the end of the world like last time, as it is sort of important we can all find each other I suppose

Boco · 17/11/2007 09:27

And dd2 has croup AGAIN and is saying 'I am too poorly for Lun dun!' We're going anyway. I am NOT staying.

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 09:29

you're not staying Boco? just doing the meal?

zippitippitoes · 17/11/2007 09:31

i kept thinking it was today

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 09:31

Oh Boco

zippitippitoes · 17/11/2007 09:33

you mean not staying at home boco?

TooTicky · 17/11/2007 09:33

Zippi, you'll have a very long wait on the pavement if you go today.

Boco · 17/11/2007 09:34

Oh no i mean i'm not staying here, i really really need this weekend away, so poor dd will just have to cough around London. I guess if she is bad i can get to see a dr in London for steroids just as easily as here?

Does that make me a bad and selfish mother?

I can't leave her, so she has to come.

zippitippitoes · 17/11/2007 09:36

someone beter do a threasd though or franny will be stressed

how are yoy franny?
