For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ds1 was disappointed because he thought it was going to be a whole episode. I laugh whenever I see David Tennent now after some one said on here that he looked like Deidre Barlow on speed. Actually I think that was cod.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 22:01

what's a bfob?

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 22:01

Bfobs? Breast Feeders OverBearing Shirt?
Bra For Ordinary Breast Shapes?

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 22:02

lol. Yes, we thought it a bit of disappointment, but then they didn't really because ds1 hugged his knees and said 'I can't wait for Christmas Day'.

Toot - me e-mail never came, it's annoying isn't it?

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 22:03

Ds2 was disappointed about the Dr Who thing too. He'd been discussing which theme they would use for much of the day - he concluded that part of the 10th and part of the 5th would be best.

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 22:04

Where's she gone?

I want to know what a bfob is. Because she's wearing one.

Which email was this, MrsC? I am running on limited mental capacity atm.

FrayedKnot · 16/11/2007 22:05

Ask Franny, I'm sure 'twas she who named them.

It's footwear, anyway, sorry 100

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 22:06

ah, big fuck offboots???

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 22:08

Oooh lookin good FK. Lookin good.

I think MrsC is going to look a bit like Mary Poppins in the film. With her umbrella and green coat, and souflul eyes and purposeful mouth.

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 22:09

Oh and what does ifmao mean?

Boco · 16/11/2007 22:10

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 22:10

Those abbreviations confuse me utterly.

What will I look like, 100x?

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 22:12

Boco You are a rare fruit these days.

Is it you who is worrying about buggies in London?

FrayedKnot · 16/11/2007 22:13

lol at offboots.

Yes, although mine are not as big and f'offy as Franny's I don;t think.

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 22:14

Is anybody NOT dressing up? I only have ordinary clothes.

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 22:15

SSSSshhhhh. Stop telling ahundred what things mean. We'll tell you if you come and meet us

We got our new backpack baby carrier today. It's good but DH wants to bring it and not bring the buggy and we're away for 5 days. I'm not sure. I think we'll want the buggy too - tis very small and packs into a bag. Any thoughts? I might be vetoed by the fact that we just can't manage everything!

Boco · 16/11/2007 22:15

Yes a bit toot, not just the buggy but the child and the bags, i don't travel light, and dd no longer agrees to being in a buggy, and there are those really steep escalators. I lived in London when dd1 was little, i've lost me nerve.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 22:15

Actually, I have a new coat. It is red and black with enormous buttons and a silk red lining. It is cosy.

Toot - I meant the e-mail from a few days ago. It was about the homeopath and shoes. Can you send it again?

Boco · 16/11/2007 22:17

I'm wearing a backless ball gown in shimmering saphire with diamante trim. But obviously i'll get dressed up for the evening.

FrayedKnot · 16/11/2007 22:17

I wear my bfobs alot TooT, they are my ordinary clothes. And I am probably wearing a skirt, and a top, and a jacket. And a sou'wester.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 22:20

Oh, Boco, you will show us all up in our jeans!

Children in need is no longer appropriate for children. Ds1 just asked me what a rapist was
