For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh Bee that is a good story. Do you ask your lecturer lots of questions? Please say you do.

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 22:20

Bee I like the thing about the Bee

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 22:23

I babysat today. I was in charge of 6 children (including mine) and there was a trampoline. They played together beautifully. But now I am tired.

I haven't had enough portions. Probably 4.

IdrisTheDragon · 18/10/2007 22:23

I like the Bee as well .

Could I please place a small dilemma before you?
My mother gave us the money for a new cooker almost a year ago, and the bank promptly ate it. Since then, we have not been able to scrape together enough to actually buy it. Now, of course, my friend is buying us one and has rather delightfully said that it's fine with her if we just let my mum think that this is the one that she paid for. However, I don't think I can do this because I would feel dishonest. But equally, I don't just want to say that my friend has bought us one when it was no small gesture for my mother to give us the money, and she really wanted us to have it. Ideally before last Christmas. I don't want her to feel sort of ousted. Am I making sense? What should I say?
Many thanks in advance.

ahundredtimes · 18/10/2007 22:52

Must admit, if it were me I would be dishonest and say 'I've got the cooker at last! I'm so pleased with it! Thank you so much.'

But that's just me, I'm without scruples.

Don't see why not, then everyone's happy.

BBBee · 18/10/2007 22:58

I ask loads of questions and apparently I look 'quizzical' with my eyebrows and they stop and ask me why my face is doing a question. Maybe I should wear a burka.

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 22:58

Even if I felt okay about it (and I can see why it is a good solution) I'm not sure I could do it convincingly.

BBBee · 18/10/2007 23:01

I shall take a picture of the bee and show you. T - I still have the jeans all parcelled up for you on my flloor surrounded by loads of excuses about postal strikes etc. I adore you - they will be there soon.

100 - I got DS docotr who dvd and lego for birthfay - was fab. You seem to always be doing birthdays at the moment!

BBBee · 18/10/2007 23:02

oh toot you are too honest - say 'I have a new cooker it is so nice - thanks for helping us out'

god you are SO much nicer than me!

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 23:05

No problem Bee you are very kind.
(I saved myself from complete ignominy with an extremely fortuitous trip to a charity shop, otherwise I would now be walking around in more hole than trouser. I dunno, you scour the charity shops fruitlessly for weeks and months and then 3 pairs of trousers turn up at once!)

Boco · 18/10/2007 23:05

Anyone else noticed how filthy minded Toots is these days? Always going on about clefts and bushes and nipples. Dirty.

Toots i think i'd tell a white lie and just thank your mum for the cooker - she might as well have bought it really, and then she can feel pleased. It's not a proper lie.

Bee the bee thing is sad and nice.

Do you think i am long and crazy like my hair? Hmm. Maybe.

Lovely autumn pictures Tatties.

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 23:06

It is projection. Boco is projecting her filth onto my innocent canvas.

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 23:08

I think actually I am too honest. This is relating to the cooker issue and not Boco's smuttery. It has got me into quandaries before.

BBBee · 18/10/2007 23:08

boco - you are not long.

BBBee · 18/10/2007 23:09

you are crazy.

TooTicky · 18/10/2007 23:11

I have to go to bed before I fall off the chair.

ahundredtimes · 18/10/2007 23:12

Don't be honest. Lie though your teeth, so she can sleep at night knowing she's bought you a cooker and you are pleased with it.

Of course, she might say 'how come it took a year?' and then you'll have to be very casual and say 'Oh the delivery time was awful. But not to worry, it's here now.'

BB - so pleased re both eyebrows and actual questions. Extremely pleased actually. Disturbingly pleased.

Boco · 18/10/2007 23:29

Toots it's time to face your own filth - just look at that last title! Be proud of your smutty self.

Bee you think i'm crazy, but you love me i'm sure of it. And i love you and your eyebrows.

IdrisTheDragon · 18/10/2007 23:33

I should go to bed.
