For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, you're all lovely. It'll be her dad picking her up, unfortunately. We live near St Andrews, where he works, and I work in stirling, an hour's drive away, so it's just not fair to put her through 2 hours in the car each day...

Anyway, enough of the poor-Hab fest. She will be fine, and so will I eventually. i shouldn't laugh, but I got really good at crying in the toilets after I went back to work after losing her sister (ghoulish, but work toilets were a bit of a SANDS standing joke), so must remind myself that (a) it is NOT like that - I get to go home and cuddle my girl EVERY day and (b) I'm good at crying in toilets when necessary.

What a wuss. I have made a lovely stew including turnips, and have a heeuugge fruit bowl to work my way through. Things are ok. But thank you all. I was in need of a little sympathy, and got it in abundance!

Boco · 21/10/2007 22:31

You're really not a wuss Hab, you're being incredibly and ridiculously brave.

Yes, do have to go back, or pay back a stash of maternity pay. Which I've spent.

Avi - yes - it's so so nice living here. We lived in St A for about a year, and then moved to the Tay coast, opposite dundee. I love it here; such a brilliant place and so many nice things to see and do. Like I said, the nursery is so nice, and the outdoor play area pretty much overlooks the beach, and apparently they go beachcombing and stuff.

OK, off to bed, as last night was not great (baby was in our room as guests staying over, and boy did she find this funny at 3am), and I have to drive tomorrow. Thank you all again, and goodnight...

Boco · 21/10/2007 22:42

Goodnight, hope tomorrow goes ok for you both

Poor Wombling. Toothache is the pits.

You were all exceptionally kind to dh last night. I do appreciate it. He had a lovely time, much more fun that he ought to have had. I was so fed up with him going on about this ghastly event that I told him to ask MN about what to do - was surprised that he did!

Anyway, thank you. Also v. funny when he appeared upstairs and said 'There's someone called Codblog or something who can't type and keeps saying 'farking nora' and shouting at me.' Ha ha ha. I think, I HOPE, that the message he got was 'don't do any games.'

I am going off to make a Big List. People are coming to stay here while we are away, which means I've also got to tidy the house. I am wondering whether to tell them about the mouse.

Yesterday, surprisingly nice. Good food - very good butternut squash risotto - and good walk in woods. Everyone made a den.

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2007 08:27

Oh we were all flirting and flicking our hair at him. Me and Boco told him to do LOTS of games, but he wouldn't listen. I did wonder if he was enjoying himself a little bit too much and if he would be fighting you for the pc in the evenings
