For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tatties · 20/10/2007 22:30

Oh, shall I give everyone a laugh with my new DM-inspired thread title idea?

I PEEL YOU

fullmoonfiend · 20/10/2007 22:34

Avi, didn't look into it seriously but had seen some programmes, read some articles and spoke to someone who lived in the village. We wanted to go and have a trial holiday there but never quite got round to it.
Anyway, we Decided my eldest ds was too old to transplant to middle of nowhere and make him be a tree-hugging veggie. Still have vague fantasies though....maybe I'll do it when the boys have left home

TooTicky · 20/10/2007 22:35

I secretly covet those sliceable wooden vegetables.

I don't think I have an accent, although ds1 sometimes sounds rather Londony and I wonder if that is me. I did everything I could to avoid picking up a Bristolian accent at school - they hated me for it. I used to come over all Lancashire when I visited my dad and grandmother, although they had the posh, non-accent version. But still Lancs.
And sometimes when I answer the phone, people ask to speak to my mummy or daddy

LL, Chinese stew because I started with sesame oil (run out of sunflower and olive), added ginger and what I deemed appropriate veg. It was jolly nice, if a little too gingery for the boys.

TooTicky · 20/10/2007 22:37

What is DM? It's not Doc Marten is it? [dunce]

FrannyandZooey · 20/10/2007 22:38

LOL @ I peel you and everyone carrying on talking politely around it

Avi I don't see why

dp is being an arse. I think he thinks he is being assertive but he is in fact just refusing to do everything I ask him to, and I really need some fucking help here!

Hello TooTicky. Where is the DM? I have lost it.

IdrisTheDragon · 20/10/2007 22:40

Have now realised .

IdrisTheDragon · 20/10/2007 22:41

We have neither china teasets nor wooden vegetables. Are DS and DD deprived?

TooTicky · 20/10/2007 22:41

Ah. I don't think I could name one of their songs.

Tatties · 20/10/2007 22:41

Franny does he not realise you were upset earlier?

FrannyandZooey · 20/10/2007 22:41

LOL of course! That was why I was upset!
