For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 22:37

As much as you like JoFan.

IdrisTheDragon · 12/10/2007 22:38

I will do Tatties (I am also very slow, as well as being inept ).

IdrisTheDragon · 12/10/2007 22:38

I also notice no one has a crush on me .

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 22:41

(I was about to say that earlier Idris when all of a sudden Franny announced that I'm next. I'm all of a fluster I can tell you.)

IdrisTheDragon · 12/10/2007 22:42

NOt sure I could cope with someone having a crush on me anyway

JoFan · 12/10/2007 22:43

3 weetabix and OJ
ham & cheese sarnie with squeezed lemonade
chicken with rice, lentils AND potatoes, leek, pepper and onion (doing well so far...)

as for exercise played netball this morning for 45 mins but needed 45 mins on iron lung afterwards

no spots this morning, but went upstairs to bed on knees as penance for norty day yesterday.

JoFan · 12/10/2007 22:45

oh and two mint humbugs

mint is a plant, right?

FrannyandZooey · 12/10/2007 22:47

JoFan that is indeed better

you are just trying to tempt me with this going upstairs to bed on your knees thing

I have a waiting list for my lesbian crushes don't you know

FrannyandZooey · 12/10/2007 22:47

now don't push it

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 22:49

Idris you'll be fine if it's Franny. She's fickle and it won't last long!

JoFan, that's looking good. How about some fruit in your weetabix - dd and I have stewed apple or plums, or even tinned fruit like strawberries or peaches are handy. I also usually have some dried apricots or raisins. Nice and easy way to add another portion.

TooTicky · 12/10/2007 22:55

At the festival I went to there was somebody selling containers to make fires in and they looked VERY MUCH like washing machine drums. Aha, I thought. Interesting.

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 22:57

I've just thought of a new thread title (inspired by the ad on the right.

Ratatouille. rat.a.too.ee

The only other one I ever thought of included cream horns and donuts and then I forgot it anyway!

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 22:58

Sorry. It's rubbish. And I didn't close my brackets.

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 23:04

Oh no. It was so bad that you've all gone off to start the next thread without me I'll find you though. Your scrabbulous lentil weaving chat will be all over active convos

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 23:11

Did it take that long for the thread to load TooT?!

pinkspottywellies · 12/10/2007 23:12

Are you going to start a new thread TooT? Have you thought of a good title?

TooTicky · 12/10/2007 23:13

I have my rock of 'gages one, which everybody keeps politely ignoring.
