For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

SauerKraut · 12/10/2007 14:01

Sounds lovely already, LL! Something small to keep her kids occupied?

TooTicky · 12/10/2007 14:01

Um... grapes?

SauerKraut · 12/10/2007 14:02

How old are they? What are their special needs?

fullmoonfiend · 12/10/2007 14:04

just to say, I ws driven mad yesterday. Every time I typed in the dt eta work (10.10.07) I thought of you lot. How sad does this make me??

Have had no time to come on here this week duet o all the stuff I mentioned before. Dh has been away and I have been juggling manic manic work, walking kids to and fro school, my first ever parent/governor meeting (I was elected, Yay!) and everything else. I am exhausted. But dh came home last night and we had a joyful reunion . But feck all fruit and veg...

Lullabyloo · 12/10/2007 14:05

i guess grapes then........

am dashing....but three & five & many,many needs

fullmoonfiend · 12/10/2007 14:05

at Greeney not coming to meet us, I was dying to meet her. (Though as i wear a lot of green, we might have clashed!)

Lullabyloo · 12/10/2007 14:06

oh fmf..... &

Lullabyloo · 12/10/2007 14:07

lol.....tis sad
but you can meet my dh instead

SauerKraut · 12/10/2007 14:11

Well I would have been very envious from afar of you all meeting Greeny! (I'm not a dog in the manger, oh no )
Your week sounds difficult, FMF, hope you get a restful weekend. Although I can think of better things to feck than f & v!

SauerKraut · 12/10/2007 14:12

A big pot of bubbles, LL? Your friend could blow from the sofa and the dc's could pop...

fullmoonfiend · 12/10/2007 14:16

LL

SK thanks, it's been a difficult month. I just keep doing my yogic breathing....(and eating chocolate

next week will be difficult too - more work pressure, 2 separate parents' evenings to attend as the thoughtless bastard teachers have chosen different nights and my gorgoueous little baby celebrates his 7th birthday so have suitably wholesome cake to make, and a bowling party to organise

Tatties · 12/10/2007 14:16

LOL Avi I have never been blonde! (Although I really should be given my parents' colouring )

Pink - love your photos! Dd looks adorable and the one of you both lying down is just lovely

Lully what a kind thing to do for your friend, I'm sure she will be grateful for anything you bring and the moral support of course. (My pics back up btw)

Franny... describe your dp day... hmmm, well I am a bit sulky with him atm so maybe not the best time to do it.

FMF good to see you!

Now, these boots, I have an insole, tights and thin socks on, and they still feel a bit roomy. Not falling off but my heel comes up when I walk. Should boots be like that? I have a feeling the next size down may be too small...

fullmoonfiend · 12/10/2007 14:19

I'll describe my dh if you want?
