For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

For some reason I thought he was older than that Avi. My dd2 is very nearly 27 months.

Tatties · 27/09/2007 23:08

Aw Avi, he won't feed forever. Ds is almost 2 1/2, and although it does feel like that sometimes; I think that as he gets older it can only get easier in terms of being able to negotiate, and also probably in terms of him becoming more and more occupied with other things, and I suppose just outgrowing the need... it is a leap of faith though.

Where's Franny? Has Mr F&Z kidnapped her?

lionheart · 28/09/2007 08:16

Not like this. No, no.

lionheart · 28/09/2007 08:21

More like this

FrannyandZooey · 28/09/2007 08:53

Good morning, thank you all for being hospitable to MrF&Z last night. He had far too much of a good time on here - I hope it hasn't encouraged him to lurk.

Lionheart LOL I misread the "Taboo" bit and thought it said "Yaboo" as in You Are Being Unreasonable. I thought it would be great to give someone a flower display that spelt YABU.

Oh I have hoovered some fruit and put some cards on my dust free windowsill. I must say having everyone discuss you makes for a paranoid time at 4 am.

Happy birthday, Franny person.

FrannyandZooey · 28/09/2007 08:56

Thank you

lionheart · 28/09/2007 08:57

I thought for a second the dusting of the window-sill was a sad consequence of no-one having the heart
to tell you that the birthday fairy does not really visit grown-ups.

FrannyandZooey · 28/09/2007 08:58

she doesn't?

I think she does, here

FC still comes, as well

lionheart · 28/09/2007 09:01

Must be the alternative birthday fairy. She still does the rounds, or so I've been told. You have to be super virtuous for that.

What's in your swag bag? Got any good presents?

TooTicky · 28/09/2007 09:04

Just because Franny talks about it non-stop.

lionheart · 28/09/2007 09:09

Is it your birthday as well, TooT?

TooTicky · 28/09/2007 09:10

Yes. But I'm not high maintenance

lionheart · 28/09/2007 09:13

Oh, well, in that case

FrannyandZooey · 28/09/2007 09:15

LOLOL you aren't, are you? Happy birthday TooT!

I am sorry, I am very excitable about my birthday and I do expect (and get) a lot of hoohah. It's only in recent years I have realised this is actually very childish and in fact frowned upon. Sorry.

(I have infected a friend of mine with the high maintenance birthday bug. This year she didn't get the expected treatment and spent the day sulking I felt vaguely guilty. I don't need to sulk because I make it very clear in advance what is necessary. This works out well.)

Lionheart I don't know yet the boys are in the shower and I have only opened a couple. So far I have a kite and 2 fabric flowers on stalks that are bigger than ds. He chose them.

TooTicky · 28/09/2007 09:21
