For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Thanks for that, Franny. Lovely site.

(Wombling have added you to list of mates so you should be able to see now).

I looked after five children and cooked dinner for nine people today.

I think I should probably be asleep round about now.

BBBee · 25/09/2007 00:06

Hello!

Oh you have all gone to bed.

I have been to Milton Keynes to meet my sister for dinner. I love Milton Keynes - it is all so wrong and designed taht I love it. It is a bit like how I imainge america to be (even though I have been and it isn;t like that).

FMV - oh the trip sounds wonderful - how nice just you and DS. Did you float in the bath like a flotation tank? I am so glad you had a wonderful time - did you wear the green dress and look all chic - I bet you did you foxy rogue you!

Schools on here seem crap - it is all shouting PE teachers and evangalism and rain clouds. Boco I did a thing at our school where I got all 'Anne' and wrote letters to govenrors about religion in assemblies and blah blah - can send you a copy if you like but then you are 'the mother who wrote the letter about respecting other faiths' and they feel the need to point out the ramadan posters to you all the time.

Avi - when does course start when? I start a big full on scary full time long drive away course on Monday where I will be expected to concenrtrate and remeber things. I am most scred.

Boco - I hope you are not dreaming about werewolves and your DD is snuggled up without croup.

100x - am booking wall climbing party for DS I couldn't find a killing one so we are doing a falling one instead.

I am sleeping really badly - I have seasonal sleep disorder thing but it sually doesn;t kick in until end Oct.

oh and my cat is better.

Hello, yes, tell us what your course is (unless it is secret).

Have you been drinking big zinging coffee, avi?

FrannyandZooey · 25/09/2007 09:00

Apple, pear, plums, grapes, raisins, nectarine

stuffed

pinkspottywellies · 25/09/2007 09:10

Morning!

FMV I love your ds. I wanted to cheer when I read about him standing up to the boring demonstrators!!

Hope everyone's well and getting plenty of sleep and not having nightmares! My worst ever dream was when my sis was away and I didn't see her for about 6 months. I had the most vivid dream one night that she'd come home and I was sooooo excited. Then I woke up and realised she wasn't home and I cried all day

I have had pear, orange juice and dried apricots so far. Yesterday I did well at breakfast time then I went for a walk and got dragged into the sandwich shop by some bacon and I tried my hardest to say no and then I got a bacon sandwich and a sausage roll . I was actually quite disgusted with myself

Can't exercise much at the minute - I hurt my knee last week at my exercise class and realised yesterday it's all swollen (after limping all weekend without actually having a loom at it!)

Thanks for e-mail Franny. Have replied.

BBBee · 25/09/2007 09:15

pinky - you seem to have problems with bacn sondwishes a lot don't you - didn;t you get overpowered by one at the car boot sale?

franny how can you have ewaten that much already - surely not unless you have been up all night on some kind of fruit bender.

avi - facebook me - me me me - I am on boco's friend list and I am not as good at scrabble as her so you will win. I need more ladies on my facebook friends as they seem to be all geeky boys. (not boco and idris)

Idris what did you buy your dad?

okay - work - must work - hard.

pinkspottywellies · 25/09/2007 09:22

BBB they run after me and grab me by the waist and insist that I submit to them

lionheart · 25/09/2007 09:49

Bacon tackle is hard to resist. Ditto fruit bender.

ahundredtimes · 25/09/2007 10:48

Schools are getting a bad rap aren't they? DS2 and shouty man now 'great friends' according to ds2, he says 'they chat about stuff' alot.

So no horrors here. Mine all like school I think, dd likes lining up and her friends, ds2 is working on a 'bug base' at playtime with his friends and ds1 loves, loves, loves all the learning and the library. They all come out looking very messy and covered in paint and talking about things they've done that day.

IdrisTheDragon · 25/09/2007 10:51

Hello. I am on a course as this week I am teaching young accoutnants how to be accountants. Today is preparing to teach them. Then I will go home, and come back tomorrow evening. And stay Wed and Thur evening and do things on Thur and Fri.

Hve eaten fruit salad, orange juice and apple .

TooTicky · 25/09/2007 11:07

I went in and did reading in ds2's class yesterday. It was lovely. I want to live there.
I have eaten someapple and most of a pear.

ahundredtimes · 25/09/2007 11:09

BBee don't you live in Oxford? Do you? Someone lives in Oxford.

There is a laser tag place there. That's what we're doing. Perhaps you don't live in Oxford though.

Does anyone live in Oxford?

Carotte · 25/09/2007 12:03

I am afraid I must speak about my breasts one last time as they are very bad now. I have been awake all night shivering and there are red lines on it. Sigh. If it is not better after today I might have to have AB's. I am waiting to speak to LLL councellor and hope they have some advice. The website seems to think recurrent blocked ducts and mastitis won't be helped by AB but treating the cause is most usefull though hard toidentify.

I have had a peach and am going to eat morrocan chickpea abd vegetable soup. It's such a drag DH is working away this week.

I am going to send ds1 to your school, 100x, it sounds nice now. I will drop them at school, meet Toot in the park and then go for kamut cake with Avi.

Carotte, I am wincing for you

Boco · 25/09/2007 12:47

Poor Carrot, that sounds awful. I had mastitis a couple of times, and when i had the whole shivering fluey feeling, i took the antibiotics and it worked. Hope lll give you some ideas.

My computer is dying - i know it and i'm very afraid. It just crashed 4 times, keeps freezing. It's been getting steadily worse for a while, but not just stops before it even starts. What if it actually stops working??!! How do you mend a computer? What if i can't? What if i can't afford to get it fixed? I will be stuck in the real and actual world and none of you will be here?! And i won't have scrabble or vegetables or anything. It's too awful to contemplate.

Oh dear oh no.
