For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco, blimey! You did have it bad. I have had one once, over the millenium New Year period. I remember saying to the chemist "can you drink with these antibiotics?" and him saying "No, you should be ok..." and then doing a double take and saying "WHAT are you taking these for? A KIDNEY infection?? No you will NOT be drinking with them." I hate ruddy New Year's anyway.

Have eaten veg sausage, beans and eggs, and cabbage. It was all organic. And the eggs were cooked in olive oil. And the cabbage was a green leafy veg. [defensive]

Dp's mother is undergoing another detox at home. She's off her tree on librium. She keeps trying to text him, but on our home phone number, and we keep getting these ruddy automated messages every half an hour saying "you have a text message....the message is "blank" ". It's doing my head in and he won't ring her.

Boco · 20/09/2007 18:45

Oh dear Franny that sounds horrid - you mentioned the blank messages the other day. Hope she's successful with the detox - do you think there's any hope she will be?

FK yes, that sounds right. Shame you moved!

pinkspottywellies · 20/09/2007 19:33

Franny!

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:12

I have joined facebook, but only because I want to play scrabble with 10/10ers. Don't know how to find scrabble though.

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:14

Dd2 has just done a wee on my feet.
Ds1 has become an Elvis fan.

Boco · 20/09/2007 20:19

Neyeheheh, i knew you'd give in Toots. Go to applications, on the left, and find scrabulous. Shall i draw you some graffiti?

FrannyandZooey · 20/09/2007 20:20

Sorry chaps

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:22

Grafitti Boco? Where?

Hello Franny

filthymindedvixen · 20/09/2007 20:27

let me know how youget on Toot. I am powerless to resist the call of Scrabble in any form....

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:30

I have been through 12 pages of applications so far looking for scrabble. There is some absolute bloody shite on there. Can't you just join the ordinary scrabulous site?

FrannyandZooey · 20/09/2007 20:30

[sob] there will be just me and a manky old lettuce leaf left on here shortly

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:33

20 pages. It's not there.

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:34

Don't cry Franny, I am unjoining facebook. It has too much utter crap. I want nothing to do with it. It would only depress me.

TooTicky · 20/09/2007 20:36

Ds2 is wearing half a fairy outfit. He has a bare bottom. He is being the tooth fairy. What's more, he wants me to take a photo of him so he can take it into school

FrannyandZooey · 20/09/2007 20:45

LOLOL at all

BBBee · 20/09/2007 20:47

what post was withdrawn?

Was it "Thank god BBBee isn't here tonight she is such a bitch?"

I am getting paranoid.

Took DD to see angelina ballerina show - it was good - very good - was Englsih Ballet and was proper with a story and no talking. DD watched but asked if we could go home now about ten mintues from the end. She played with her baby for a lot of it and I thought it was a waste of time but on the bus she said it was the best thing she had ever done (it is so not!)

One complaint though - they had costumes on with paddding over their beliies but I really love looking at beautiful lithe dancers bodies. Oh well at least I haven;t sown the seeds of anorexia in young DDs brain.

Boco · 20/09/2007 20:50

Toots! You've given up already? it's really not that bad. I'm playing scrabble with 14 people, and they're all very nice and it's fun. Do you know my real life name? If you do, you can search for me, and be my friend, and you'll see scrabulous on my page, and you can just click on add applications.

I had good news today. I'm going to be running a drawing club at dds school for key stage 2. Teacher seems really enthusiastic, and i already have 25 kids signed up who want to do it. Although i've said i'll have 12 at a time or it'll be too hard. No money but it'll be good. Not sure how to teach drawing, but sure i'll pick it up.

Boco · 20/09/2007 20:52

Oh xpost, hello Bee, that sounds fun. How are you? I keep replying to your messages today and you move on to another message. Are you alright today?

FrannyandZooey · 20/09/2007 20:53

Boco that is fab and I bet (if you wanted it) could lead to something lucrative at a later date

BBB yes it was me saying "let's all call BBB a -"

BBBee · 20/09/2007 21:01

yes am fine - am having a happy dashy day. I think we crossed posts and I got confused. Am losing badly at scrabble.

My lunch was good - you all have to have it. I have bought greengages again - they make me think of Anne. They are nice and a bit like honey.

Franny - what is it like being controlling? Does it mean you tidy up a lot? I had a friend who was anally retnetive and it didn;t seem like much to put up with if it meant I cleaned my bath like she did. Is that flippant? sorry.

Toot play scrabble - you want to don;t you.

BBBee · 20/09/2007 21:02

oh and you know that teacher that miscarried and I did a post on it - there;s a follow up - will bump it for you boco because you gave me nice advice.

IdrisTheDragon · 20/09/2007 21:05

What did you say Franny? Obviously you can't say it again though I suppose .

Who are you TooTicky? I will play scrabble with you. Although I am useless at it .
