For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Am I pissing people off with this? Sorry, I should have started a new thread. I only intended it as a throwaway remark and then people kept asking questions

BBBee · 18/09/2007 19:56

ah well you seee I am back - it is going to be so dissappointing now fran.

I was coming back from school and I was thinking - I had this idea that I 'got' you - I kind of knew how I imainged you to be - you were all nicely slotting into place and everything you said fitted in.

Then I saw you on the book thread - about arranging books and you said you had a white room and you put white books in it - then I remmebred the photos of the kitchen and the beautiful mimimalist style. The only other hint is the occasional mention of 'control freakery' but I cannot compute. I cannot make you work in my brain. Hence the enigma bit.

Proabbly not worth waiting for eh?

Interent is weird - isnot?

I met boco - she wasn;t how I thought.

Puppy hello.

TooTicky · 18/09/2007 19:57

I seem to be an artisan. Some of the questions were a bit odd I thought.

BBBee · 18/09/2007 19:57

I am crap at those psychology things - I get all arsy tit face when I do them.

pinkspottywellies · 18/09/2007 20:08

I'm the Guardian.

pinkspottywellies · 18/09/2007 20:09

Can't do the colour one - it didn't give me a conclusion . I'll try again.

BBBee · 18/09/2007 20:09

I'm the daily mail.

BBBee · 18/09/2007 20:10

I am off to make something with sloe berries.

TooTicky · 18/09/2007 20:11

What are you making with sloes BBB? There are lots around here.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 20:14

Ah I see you are just getting sorted into one of the 4 temperaments

Tatties? Where did you get yours done?

BBB I am SO a control freak. Ask HC. I am NOT a sandal wearing free spirit, not at all. People completely expect some earth mother person and I am actually Miss Prim.

Tatties · 18/09/2007 20:14

I like talking about this, it's interesting. Also very interested in palm reading and the like. I've had my cards done a few times by a trusted close friend, so it wasn't quite so scary, and I got a lot out of the readings.

Btw, I got sorted into temperament then paid for the cheapest report to get my type.

Welcome Puppy

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 20:15

when did I do photos of my kitchen? My kitchen is a ruddy MESS

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 20:16

Aha Tatties

how much was cheap?

I have found free ones online but didn't rate them

if you have friend who is in training or HR they may have access to Myers Briggs test. You can self-administer it.

Tatties · 18/09/2007 20:25

It was $4.95... not sure exactly how that converts.

"People completely expect some earth mother person and I am actually Miss Prim." - I have been called an earth mother once, albeit in a rather condescending way, but there's no way I live up to that title, the person doesn't know me very well.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 20:27

Ah you see I am probably an aspiring earth mother, I don't object to the phrase

but it isn't me

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 20:28

about £2.50 I think Tatties

did you read Pobby and Dingan? [fear in case you didn't like it]

I was just mulling over how much money I must have made you spent this month

pinkspottywellies · 18/09/2007 20:29

I didn't get the letters but I think I can figure out which of the 4 Guardian ones I am. Might be wrong though!

Had smoothie, avocado, mango, nectarine, tomato, olives, peppers, onions, cabbage - not all full portions. Still hungry so going to eat fruit.

Swam today, as much as I could with dd in rubber ring seat. About 10 mins I think and I'm now going to set up my EyeToy for my exercise programme. I have my prams exercise tomorrow and I'm going to talk to the lady about training to be an instructor. Scary!

TooTicky · 18/09/2007 20:31

dp's mum once called me an earth mother type.

Franny, do you follow your visitors around with dustpan and brush? Do you catch their crumbs? How do you cope with muddy footprints? Hmm? You'd never cope here. Actually, perhaps we need you...

Tatties · 18/09/2007 20:37

God no, I don't object to the phrase, it's something I would love to be... I am just coming to terms with the fact that it's not me either, no matter how much I wish it was.

I have ordered Pobby and Dingan from the library, should have had it by now but someone is holding on to it Must be good then

PSW good on you for swimming! I was going to gym & swim tonight but ds needed bed early so it didn't happen. Someone shout at me if I don't go tomorrow

Carotte · 18/09/2007 20:46

that took ages! I am a rational , not sure what type, to scared to do it in cae I'm the same as Milk Snatcher

FrayedKnot · 18/09/2007 21:09

I'm an idealist..

Today I have ahd salad, grapes, plums, strawbs, stir fry wtih savoy cabbage & carrots (veg stocks a bit low)

I have terrible heartburn but I think it is as a result of having coffee and clotted creeam last week (not together, but plenty of both)

I need tips for dealing with DS' anger atm. I may start a thread. He is hitting (has never done that before), shouting a lot and calling me a "Poo Poo" a lot, in a shouty voice. He's 3.5 and this behaviour seems to be escalating. can anyone point me toward previous threads, I know there have been some.

he hit me really hard yesterday (so he was shocked by the effect it had iyswim) and I went through the roof with him. We had a very hiccuppy teary making up session afetrwards but today he has still been quite agressive.

God no wonder I have heartburn

Carotte · 18/09/2007 21:16

My ds was dreadful between 3 and 3.5, Frayedknot, then he morphed into the easiest and most relaxed child ever. Six months seemed a long time though.

I had loads of salads at lunch, loads of fruit at breakfast, dinner was fried potatoes with goats cheese and lemon thyme, carrots, broccoli, corn on the cob and green beans, and runner beans.

All very good, but then I eat a choc chip cookie, four lemon cookies and a flapjack. I can't be hungry. Now I am cross about it.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 21:21

FK I am so sorry, that sounds very hard. We had similar with ds and still get cross shouting (he tends to shout at the moment "you are very NAUGHTY!" which I absolutely hate and feel ashamed about, that he has this concept of being very naughty, if that makes sense).

I will look for a thread, there was a good one recently, I learnt some stuff

TooT I do sweep up with guests we have laminate floors and they look awful with crap on them. We take shoes off as well. No muddy floors. See? Control freak

PSW that is so cool about you becoming a pram instructor! You are an Extrovert, aren't you? Are you Judging or Perceiving? I don't know you well enough to guess, and I find this one tricky to tell anyway. I think I am more or less in the middle.

We are a great mix it seems. Probably why the thread works so well. FK you said you were feeling conspicuous now 100 was gone. Please don't. We are a varied bunch and no reason why we shouldn't be. I think I just go on about our similarities because they surprise and amuse me.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 21:23

Carotte if you were the same as MT you would somehow do it fably. We seem to have a few Rationals on here, probably what stops us all from floating off into ruddy cloud cuckoo land.

Boco · 18/09/2007 21:26

What am I? How do i find out?
