For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

It's interesting how we probably come accross differently on the internet from the real world.

I prefer the me of the virtual world quite often . But I am much happier in the written world.

BBBee · 18/09/2007 14:19

bye veggers - hope you are doing better than me - can;t be hard!

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 14:47

"have decided franny is an enigma - more later" ???

you are teasing old witch in manner of 100. You know I am going to be desperately intrigued as to what you are going to say next (talking about self is favourite subject of course) and have deliberately vanished to be cruel

The people in next tent to us at festival decided it would be good idea to have radio 4 on at all times. Not just while they were in the tent, but ALL TIMES. We got a steward to go in and switch it off about 11 pm one evening, but they came back at 1 am and had it on for the next 2 hours. Yes I know festivals are noisy but music I can sleep through and this was the family field. They didn't have children, just a radio. They moved (or got moved?) the second night which was just as well because we were plotting to abduct the radio.

Idris all the types are positive and equal, aren't they? Just some of them scare me, that's all

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 14:48

oh I have had lots fo grapes, raisins, bit of fruit salad left from yesterday, and half banana. No fresh veg in house.

Boco · 18/09/2007 14:50

Franny is a classic enigma personality type, grade 4, with shades of x/p/l on the Shwimmelplusser personality grade. Oh for sure.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 15:04

Boco you wouldn't be mocking me by any chance? [squint]

Boco · 18/09/2007 15:06

God no, i wouldn't mock a grade 4! They can turn just like that.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 15:06

where is the bowing? I want bowing

Boco · 18/09/2007 15:07

Absolutely classic.

lionheart · 18/09/2007 15:10

Lawks, is this the right thread. I have no idea what you lot is going on about.

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 15:11

Sorry Tatties asked me about Myers Briggs and it is one of my pet subjects

I got carried away

Boco · 18/09/2007 15:12

My friend sent me this one about colours - and i've never had such a spot on description, it was freaky - and dps too - i'll try and find it....

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 15:14

Lionheart what are you? INTP? [wild guess]

Tatties · 18/09/2007 15:16

Ooh Franny, you were nearly right, I am INFJ

Well I am certainly complicated, that's for sure. I love all this stuff

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2007 15:17

LOL Boco I think I know that one. Here's one you might like

I know Myers Briggs is a bit contraversial and people think you are just hearing what you want to hear. But I find it really accurate, and useful in understanding other people's way of thinking / relating.

SauerKraut · 18/09/2007 15:41

I had a psychology-studying friend in university who used me as a guinea-pig for this stuff!I always came out as majorly introverted. Must try it to see if he was right. And if you are really all so introverted, have you managed to overcome it in RL as well as you seem to have on here?

3andnomore · 18/09/2007 16:01

Just a quick hi to you all!
Have not read the thread, and doubt I will get to anytime soon..sorry...but hope everyone is alright!
And thank you to those that helped me with that Applicationform!

Overrun · 18/09/2007 16:09

I have not being too well with the fruit and veg I am afraid, I do drop in now and again, but continue to find the thread a bit too long to keep up with you. Not a criticism, but just a reason why I haven't posted for a while. I get too hung up on feeling I should respond to what every one has said, and when there so much written I just feel a bit de motivated iykwim
Is any one else already looking forward to all those Autumn fruits and veg, blackberries, squashes, i.e steaming soups, and warming crumbles, yum yum

I am looking forward to soups and crumbles, too, Overrun. Another Autumn fan here. I love a real fire, we have one most days in winter.

Overrun · 18/09/2007 16:21

Now you're talking Carrotte. Lovely warm colours in the pot and in fires and on the ground in the form of leaves
Oh I am getting all poetical

Boco · 18/09/2007 16:23

I don't like those kinds of tests - the ones with a scenario and 3 options, because my answer is never there and i have too many clauses and ifs and buts, so i did half and had to stop.

I kind of like autumn in theory, but i think i'm a bit of a saddo - as in get a bit of seasonal affectiveness and i hate winter - i would like to live in a hot country where it was always sunny and warm. I hate grey days and short days and cold days.

Boco · 18/09/2007 16:24

here is the colour test but can't make it work on my computer - there are no colours anymore! (or maybe i'm having a personality crisis and i just can't see the colours)
