For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

is easy to sneak lentils into things.

My dad taught me to cook and he alwys puts lentils into mince - wartime thing to stretch it but works really well for making nice thick sauce.

I have a friend who used to cook up batches of green/brown lentils and then freeze them on baking sheets and once frozen transfer to freezer bags (so they are not in one lump IYSWIM) then she just put a handful or so into whatever she was making - quiche, pasta sauce, anything.

We have had drama in the street. My neighbour found a parked, locked car had ploughed into his parked car. No sign of driver. Police called, couldn't work out how to move car, road blocked etc. Missed our car by centimeters. It turned out the car had been parked just up hill and unbeknown to driver, who was visiting a friend, the handbrake wasn't on properly....
DH is gutted - we could have done with a nice write off which wasn't our fault for the insurance

I have to go and soothe DH's fevered brow. Could some of you have a mop round before Franny returns? Hide those chocolate wrappers too please!
See you in the morning light x

I'm not here now. Dh is sulking as I have not being paying him attention and been playing scrabble with ds 2 Which is a hoot - Tip Of The Day; never play scrabble with a dyslexic 9-yr-old...

Boco · 16/09/2007 21:14

...which reminds me - come on bee. I lost my first 4 games of scrabulous, was very sad about it, now i'm finally winning some games, no one is taking their go.

It's dd2s first ever day at pre-shool tomorrow, will be first time she's been left anywhere like that. I'm going to do reading with the children in dd1s class. Am feeling a little bit sad about it as she's my baby But also happy, as she's excited . Ahh, it's a rollercoaster ride this parenting lark innit.

BBBee · 16/09/2007 21:18

scrabble was browkn when I tried - I am crap BTW - really crap - but you probably guessed that from my opener.

FMV - I thought you were trying to trick us into not calling you filthy at the meet.

Who is at the meet - can we have a roel call or is it secret.

Where's FRANNY!

BBBee · 16/09/2007 21:19

filthymindedvixen · 16/09/2007 21:39

BBBee · 16/09/2007 21:46

filthymindedvixen · 16/09/2007 21:50

IdrisTheDragon · 16/09/2007 21:52

Boco, can I play a game of scrabble with you?

I am very bad .

BBBee · 16/09/2007 21:53

I liked it - haven't read the end but have had loads on.

I LOVED the way that there was a culture of women and a structure to them spending time together. I kind of miss that in my culutre the immediate family is very much a unit so there is no regular contact with other womenyour age unless you go out and seek it - or be a bigamist!

filthymindedvixen · 16/09/2007 21:53

I almost wish I did facebook. I love Scrabble. it's the one thing which brings out my competitive streak.

filthymindedvixen · 16/09/2007 21:54

I have to say, I loved it. Even though my namesake had a sad life

BBBee · 16/09/2007 21:56

lionheart · 16/09/2007 21:56

Hello everyone. I would not be a good person for the commune but I would certainly visit you all.

Have had grapes, strawberries, lemon (muffin) , cuc, lettuce, chard, smoothie, banana.

I must not tarry because I have got to have a Christmas escape plan [anti-social] in place before the morning. I must check out that lapland lark.

Where is Franny? I hope that Seasick chap didn't get her.
