For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

So we have! Hello! Does that mean I have to repeat myself?! Ok then- FMV, cool poem, I would love a sample of your Purple Ronnie stuff!
3andnomore, speaking as one who could possibly come under that umbrella, as it were, you've got it right.
Post-squished kitten, my dcs received a parcel from my Granny today, with a line drawing of Rosie (which she'd done from a photo she'd taken while she was here)- they were thrilled!

IdrisTheDragon · 14/09/2007 18:40

OOh a new thread .

Can there be some more lovely men? Not that my own one isn't lovely, but loveliness is always good to look at.

SauerKraut · 14/09/2007 18:42

My friend says just because you have a tree in your garden doesn't mean you can't look at the forest! She is French.

BBBee · 14/09/2007 19:02

oh I like this title - I always liked this one.

No fran though - that's a bit weird. If it goes wrong I am running.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 19:04

Your friend is very wise...

I must not be distracted by lovely men. My 9-yr-old son has maths homework which I cannot do... . I am not a numbers person. I can write crap poems. And draw crap pictures

Ho hum. Shall I tell you what F&V I have had? Or shall we have a donut?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 19:26

Carotte - I'd love to hear , in a 10/10 stylee, that it was the cabbage leaves which made all the difference...

But I suspect not!
Seriously, glad to hear they're getting better!

OP posts:
filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 19:27

we-ell, I may have to do some interaction with dh

We are off to visit his poor mum tomorrow for the first time in months. She is recovering from breast cancer and has had 2 rounds of chemo. No hair left

OP posts:
lionheart · 14/09/2007 19:43

That must be hard on everyone, fmv.

Carotte · 14/09/2007 20:38

Cabbage leaves, homeopathy amd agonising massages have improved it today, not sure if one thing was responsible.

I have has some champagne and feel quite heady after my week of abstinence. Fizz on Friday, that's my new rule.

I love rules. I think I harbour a secret desire to be institutionalised. I have wavered between the army, police force, convents, boarding schools, cults and communes in things I'd like to run off and do in the past. Weird really as I'm not generally very conformist.
