For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

really? Will I stop cringing then? I hope so, it happens a lot, I FEEL things a bit to much

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 21:42

Ah. I'm 37 and still cringing...

Yes, you get more chilled and so many of the thigs that were so crucial just fade ...

pinkspottywellies · 14/09/2007 21:44

Me child bride? urgh sounds creepy!

Tatties · 14/09/2007 21:45

So that's why you're called lionheart! You have good taste in music don't you?

PSW I am 27 too.

pinkspottywellies · 14/09/2007 21:46

When's your birthday? I don't want to be the youngest!!

Carotte · 14/09/2007 21:46

yes, makes me think of victorian lace gloves, pale faces, death in childbirth and TB, for some reason.

Tatties · 14/09/2007 21:46

And I am looking forward to being more chilled

lionheart · 14/09/2007 21:46

Of course, that may just be the result of changes in your neuro-receptor thingummies (and memory loss).

Carotte · 14/09/2007 21:47

Are you, Tatties? oh for fucks sake, I'm not even nearly the youngest

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 21:47

nice! (I spent my late teens and early 20s desperately trying to emulate the TB-ridden Victorian heroine look)

fmv - love the song title thread. I've never done one of those game threads before cos they seem so complicated but I caught this one from the start! (still complicated though!)

IdrisTheDragon · 14/09/2007 21:47

I cringe sometimes.

I much prefer 32 to 31

Tatties · 14/09/2007 21:48

You possibly are the youngest PSW... my birthday is January

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 21:48

Er, could someone mention some fruit and veg in passing, do you think?

OP posts:
lionheart · 14/09/2007 21:48

Hello, Tatties.

lionheart · 14/09/2007 21:48

We did, we mentioned some stuff.

pinkspottywellies · 14/09/2007 21:49

Makes me think of 14 year olds marrying 70 year olds in American backwaters. Saw one of those "shocking real life stories" in a magazine a few years ago!

pinkspottywellies · 14/09/2007 21:49

You're older than me.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 21:50

That was hours ago

Er, carrrots, quinoa, lentils, beans and gourds...

(That should cover us)

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 14/09/2007 21:50

I mentioned donuts and other assorted pastry products. I'm not scared of Franny [defiant]

lionheart · 14/09/2007 21:51

Am eating an apple.

Carotte · 14/09/2007 21:51

DOUGHNUTS, CREAM CAKES, CHAMPAGNE AND SPLIFFS

lionheart · 14/09/2007 21:51

You mentioned a lot of them, psw.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 21:52

Good, good!! Well done!

God this is hard work...
