For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I"VE SAID. It's the beaches/peaches thing.

She is deserving of my crush, yes. But I might just grin foolishly at you for a bit Boco, if you think you could bear it. She didn't like cleaning much, which I could completely understand, so sometimes she cooked instead. Frangipani and things. And she was soooo beautiful and stylish.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:46

come the revolution, we will march together I expect, we are friends now. Very Good Friends.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:48

Come the revolution, my staff will look bloody marvellous on a barricade, shouting in the wind and re-arranging her hair.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:48

We are friends too. She loves me. She does.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:54

Now Booooco.

Are you ready to go? I'm excited for you.

Boco · 31/08/2007 13:05

Nearly. I've packed 3 dresses and 3 pairs of shoes. Packing for dds is harder because they seem to think they're moving out and neeeeed to take etch-asketch, winter coats, 45 stuffed toys and a box of beads.

Dp is home and ranting about engineering works - we have to change 3 times on the return journey, and he's angry with One railway, and we never go to London without him having some kind of train related tantrum, and i asked him if this one time he could not care about the cost of ticket in relation to standard of service and if we could just have a lovely calm and non fist-shaking time. And now he's cross because he should be allowed to shout because it's all outrageous and he fully intends to complain. Blah blah blah, i'm going to flirt with that frightening bar man.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 13:13

I think the etch a sketch is a good idea. That always keeps my dc's entertained for hours. I hope you have a lovely time.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 13:14

Oh yes. Everytime dh comes back from London he rants about the train, and the people on the train, and the cost of the ticket, and what a Rip Off This Whole Country Is and It Is Embarrassing.

I have mentioned this before. Hope you have a great time. DS1 has emerged saying he is now completely better. I am taking him at his word and going to buy food.

The tupperware lady is going to have a ball when she gets here. I haven't done a thing.

Smack the barman's bottom for me, in a playful and slightly threatening way please.

TooTicky · 31/08/2007 13:21

MrsC, I have replied to you in a dreadfully hasty way. I will talk to you properly when we get back, I promise.

Right, we're off!

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 13:21

Do you really get willy cross sections in your viagra e-mails, Toot? How funny. I have never opened them but I think I will now to have a look.

filthymindedvixen · 31/08/2007 18:58

I am a melon cauliflower. . .

I give up.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 18:59

We all give up. Is this it, then? [bleak]

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 19:06

???

are you thinking of a thread title still?

filthymindedvixen · 31/08/2007 19:08

And soon it will be Autumn. And the year will shed it's finery; the last vestiges of colour and joy, left hanging from the branches like burned prayer flags, until one day, the last leaf will lose grip and be gone. And Winter will have us in her thrall..>

lionheart · 31/08/2007 19:15

Hellooooo.

There seems to be an awful lot to catch up on ....

lionheart · 31/08/2007 19:23

Ha, this is just like that hide and seek poem.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 19:25

Blimey, FMV, IS IT THAT BAD? I take it all back, I love your titles, I love them. Actually I really like the melon cauli one.

Are you very depressed about Autumn? It is my favourite time of year, the sun and the wind, new boots, frosty webs. I feel energised and enthused and a bit like runnning up a hill with no clothes on. I never do.

Hello Lionhart - how was Devon, was it warm, did you swim, were there cream teas?

filthymindedvixen · 31/08/2007 19:28

No I was just being melon cauli And a little bit attention seeking...

BBBee · 31/08/2007 19:34

oh gosh boco have you gone? Have just got back and wnated to wish you a marevllous time.

Hi lionheart - was it fun?

I liked the eighties title - just to be awkward.

We went to Bristol zoo- we drove past bath.

I wish we could have those things like facebook where you can say your mood.

"TOday I feel ponderous". I want to tell bBoco a story about a man at the zoo as it is like her story of the man at the castle - but she has gone hasn't she.

BBBee · 31/08/2007 19:46

how are you Franny - I thought about you today.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 20:31

Hello. Friday is a day I don't work so I am on Mumsnet rather less.

F&V consumption has also been less. DS and DD have eaten all right amounts though.
