For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

MrsC - why to the doctor? What's up? Is it the ears?

Tatties · 31/08/2007 10:30

Yes period crampy... it's the full moon synchronising us FMV!

MrsC I have felt slightly better pre-menstrually since I've been going to the gym, it's good for combatting the hormonal headaches and lethargy

Boco · 31/08/2007 10:30

oh lordy i missed those photos a100. I don't think that's a place to have a hangover, the decor would make me very ill on the carpet. I'm worried about that lady, that barman is about to pounce, and although she knows it, she's too scared to move. Oh dear. Well, it's location i'm paying for, location. Dp has refused to go to rivoli, - we used to live round there, he doens't want to go back, but somehow it's my job to persuade the friends we were meeting there to go somewhere else. I might just stay and play mind games with the barman.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 10:32

Oh god please do. She is terrified isn't she? I pointed this out to you yesterday . She is wearing a bulky suit and she knows she will be unable to cope with his attentions. The man, on the sofa, will be no help. He is a work colleague. He taunts her behind her back sometimes.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 10:33

"stop moaning"? Where are your clean teeth now 100?

oh alright then

zippi are you feeling calmer now?

Tatties sorry about your cramps

100 what absolutely needs doing? I mean, do you have to clear up?

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 10:36

synchronisation how odd or should that be wondeful?

i more or less synchronised too and in terms of tmi i actually moved earlier too

have sent mr st johns wood his email and graciously allowed him to withdraw his offer..shame i'll never know what restaurant he had in mind to book..sounded far too whooshy for me any way

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 10:37

heart still pounding slightly re council not bloke

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 10:40

Oh yes, everything does. Though now ds1 has taken to his bed, I can text dh at his swanky film company meeting, I can nag him and say 'you must go to the supermarket when you come back' so that's something.

I have to clean the house. SIL is very clean and has tupperware boxes for everythings. She likes to make the lids snap, alot.

Also spare room full of duvets and school uniforms and dust and everything. Also they have three children, who will have to sleep somewhere. Also, also, also

I just want to go to that hotel and drink cocktails with Boco and play with the barman. That's all I want. Is it too much to ask?

Boco · 31/08/2007 10:44

Come on 100x, put your expensive shoes on and get on a train, will be waiting for you in the lounge, will be the one wearing shades due to sicky decor. I'll warm up the barman with some unusual body language.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 10:47

Oh 100

ds being ill could be a blessing in disguise though. "Could you just run the hoover round please BIL? I haven't had a chance all day what with ds being so poorly."

If she is tupperware box type you will never live up to her standards anyway. She'll probably be happier if it is a bit grubby so she can enjoy herself tutting silently. You should always think of your guests' happiness

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 10:57

lol @ bil hoovering. Honestly, is a funny thought.

I'm going to sit next to lady in bulky suit. I'm going to give her a Life Empowering Speech. I shall be very Anne-like but my expensive shoes aren't sensible, though she won't know this.

I've just realised that I told Franny to stop moaning, just so that I could take centre-stage and moan my heart out. Apologies.

I've always liked that old joke which goes something like, I must stop talking about myself, so, what do you think of me?

hahaha

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 11:00

No I had had my turn to be fair

I was just spinning it out a bit, now

dp has taken day off work. Was alarmed by crying, yesterday

PLEASE MAKE YOUR LOVELY MINDS UP ON THE TITLE

I'm going to work in an hour or so, and this thread won't last the evening. We should be gathering by its bedside.

Oh zippi, really? Is that good or not?

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 11:02

anne of green gages

ps i really don't mind

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 11:04

what do you think it is just a change of tack?

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 11:05

No I haven't heard the full story - I thought there was a possibility you liked him coming on strong!

OP posts:
Boco · 31/08/2007 11:07

Well it might be a change of tack, but is a good sign isn't it? If he'd just shrugged and decided that without the sleepover then what's the point in the meal, then he'd have been a predatory male creep, but with this new tack, he's possibly still a little predatory, but capable of being a bit less obvious and humble about it. Go, but stay with someone else and be safe about it all.

Boco · 31/08/2007 11:10

Anyone know how Lully is doing? Lully is amazing in her ability not to moan, she's really poorly but still does a thousand times more energetic and wholesome things than me [rizbect]

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 11:13

not if i'm going to meet him...what do you take me for..actually the first time i met dp he got the wrong idea and i said something along the lines of what sort of woman do you think i am..became something of a standing joke..dp was rather more justified in getting the wrong idea though

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 11:13

I hope she isok she sounds so wonderful and does lovely food that makes me drool

TooTicky · 31/08/2007 11:18

100x - sympathy. Hope it goes well.

Boco - have fun.

MrsC - do you want to email me about homoeopathy? Happy to tell you more about it/answer questions [email protected]

Franny - hope you feel chirpier soon.

We're off to the Ragged Hedge Fair today. Wish me luck. The boys are annoying each other. Am making soup.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 11:39

LL is going to see her consultant tomorrow isn't she? I hope she comes back and talks to us about it.

OK. Have mop out, am orf to try and impress tupperbox lady. Will never happen. There are holes in the wall. Also for reasons I can't remember, we decided to paint the floorboards in the hall white. Now tell me, why would a person every do such a thing?

Have fun TT.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Boco · 31/08/2007 11:46

A person who flicks through elle deco in a waiting room may be overtaken by such a fancy.
