For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I fell for that one in the dds bedroom why? it's awful..now has a cheap cord carpet

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:04

Am back. Was overwhelmed by dd's bedroom, which is going to be turned into a Girls Dormitory once I have removed all her stones, bottle tops and cardboard boxes ('they are not cardboard boxes, they are a farm.')

I looks nice actually. If nobody ever walked on it. I suppose a person who not only flicks through elle deco in a waiting room but actually buys it and reads it in bed sometimes, together with Homes&Gardens, might do such a thing, yes.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:05

I don't look nice. Not a bit. IT looks nice.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:08

"I looks nice actually" I'm sure you do, 100x

It is his ears again. They are red but it's still probably a virus. I asked if it was the same virus he's had since birth without a smidgeon of sarcasm.

Off to e-mail Toot about like-with-like and half lives and things.

I made an apostrophe faux-pas earlier. Aologies for that.

Yes, yes, yes, Avi, the consensus is for peaches, though I prefer 'sittin on the beaches, eatin all the peaches, doh de doh, de de de der da.' I am feeling very anti-hymn.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:21

Oh no I thought Anne of Green-Gages was gathering quite a few votes, actually.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:23

is it?

That's my vote. Shall we count?

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:24

Yes, you count. I am actually cleaning my house, incase you hadn't noticed, not sitting on mn AT ALL.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:25

Get a cleaner and then come and count with me.

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:27

I had a cleaner. She was very gorgeous and glamorous and I was/am utterly in love with her. She needs cash-in-hand work during very messy and nasty divorce. We used to sit in the kitchen and talk. My dcs loved her too - she has new, very nice portrait painter boyfriend and she used to take them to his studio. But she has hurt her hip and can't come for a bit, and I haven't done anything about this, because I want her to come back. She makes chutneys.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:32

Chutneys?

My cleaner is on holiday for three weeks and I miss her too. We don't chat much. I like to be out of the way. I chat to the gardener though. I sit on a log and we drink tea and eat biscuits. I will ask her if she makes chutney.

Boco · 31/08/2007 12:32

Oh i like sitting on the beaches eating all the peaches. Get that one in quick before the end of summer.

How about 'I, sparagus'. No! I'm sparagus. - or something like that, needs a bit of work.

TooTicky · 31/08/2007 12:32

Because MrsC is emailing me I got all excited when I saw an email in the inbox from Carmine Bloom thinking that was her name. Carmine! Can you imagine? But it turned out to be spam. Something about viagra . I hate those. I particularly hate the ones with the willy cross-sections. They are foul and creepy.

TooTicky · 31/08/2007 12:34

God do you all have servants?

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:35

No. My servant, who wears Vivienne Westwood trousers, has gone away with her bad hip and I am servant-less.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 12:36

Look, I am going to work

I am

and this thread is gasping its last

we could grind to a halt here

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 12:37

Okay Franny.

It is 'Sitting on beaches, eating all the peaches.'

Because Boco likes it. So that's that. I am in love with Boco now until my cleaner comes back and then I shall have to switch my affections as quick as you can say 'Vivienne Westwood trousers'.

MrsCarrot · 31/08/2007 12:40

I am not allowed a gardener for very long. We needed tons of digging over when I was pregnant but the trouble is she is so lovely and fun I keep finding things for her to do. She is an organic gardener, and makes willow structures. I would like her to teach me.

I have e-mailed you, Toot, I expect it will arrive soon.

Boco · 31/08/2007 12:40

You're so fickle Anne Greengage. She sounds more deserving, i have no vw trousers. I have no staff either, come the revolution...

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 12:41

I give up

sort it out yourselves
