FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Gorgeous boys, gorgeous pics. I'd like one of Franny and Granny and the marvellously weighted Gormley penis please.

Avi - what are you meant to be buying? Oh yes! The kitchen. Oh god how exciting. Link please.

TooTicky · 15/08/2007 23:33

Oh, ds2 has a loofah obsession atm. He loves to have them walking on his hand.

Do you mean the loofahs Avi?

ahundredtimes · 15/08/2007 23:38

Oh no Franny was useless and just went on and on about wooden vegetables and the like.

Don't feel guilty. I feel guilty that I NEVER bought one. They were always such a hit at other people's houses. DD has a box of kitchen things under her bed, and she sort of balances them on the edge of her bookcase, and gets annoyed when they fall over.

Am impressed and jealous and admiring. I'm a great person to go shopping with actually.

ahundredtimes · 15/08/2007 23:44

I have to go to bed now.

When I get up in the morning, I fully expect to see this from F&Z:

Franny was useless ? I was NOT.

MrsCarrot · 15/08/2007 23:44

I think it is good not to spend on silly things and then save for something great like that, Avi. I only wish I could manage it.

We are definitely going to Edinburgh, 100, we are just not sure how yet. My friend has bought us tickets for this which sounds fun, not sure about the getting wet bit though.

ahundredtimes · 15/08/2007 23:45

Oh good MrsC. But you can't drive, you musn't. Is madness.

Is UTTERLY UTTERLY fab. You'll get years and years out of it. Don't feel guilty. I'm with Mrs C on the One Big Purchase rather than reams and reams of tatty nonsense.

Hooray for you.

TooTicky · 15/08/2007 23:49

Can my dd2 come and play? She would LOVE that! Much better to buy something worthwhile like that trhan some plastic crap. Enjoy!

TooTicky · 15/08/2007 23:50

That sounds like a very weird event MrsC.

ahundredtimes · 15/08/2007 23:50

See how supportive we're being?

I really must go to bed. Alistair Campbell is very grumpy and his wife keeps shouting at him and things are heating up in Iraq and it's all so marvellous.

Hello all,

Things have moved on loads, sorry not posted, am frankly so sleep deprived that I can't face trying to compose coherent posts at the moment. Better today, as bedtime went quite well.

Today I have had blueberries, raisins, cherries, almonds, avocado, lettuce, loads of cherries, green beans.

Sorry that you are still so poorly LL.

Avi - did you get the kitchen? You have to spill the beans!

Mrs C - can't stop thinking about your whimsical spider story, made me smile a lot.

F&Z - very of london trip, think london trips to see exhibitions are a while off.

Must go to bed before I fall asleep on the keyboard, will try to sign in tomorrow.

WA

Yes sirree, I do need it (sleep) avi, so am just off, it is my BF thread, anyone who has any ideas please post on it if you know anything about increasing weight gain/efficent feeding etc.

thanks!

TooTicky · 15/08/2007 23:59

But, Avi, it's not as if the alternative is you actually paying somebody else's bills, is it? And I'm guessing the kitchen is sustainably sourced and EU made?

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2007 00:04
TooTicky · 16/08/2007 00:06

That's what I mean

Al;istair Campbell's diaries? Not bedtime reading, surely?

SaggyPossum · 16/08/2007 00:10

oooh, Avi, it's wonderful, your DS will get so many wonderful memories from it, where as he'll forget in years to come about all the cheap tat that passes by as flotsam and jetsam gifts from other people. Did you buy the lovely play box too? Please let us know, if is not too nosey, how did you get to pay less than list price?
You could have spent all that money on fags and booze over a number of months, or other self-indulgent vices, you didn't, you spent it on your beloved child who will learn and be happy and get joy from using it. that's surely worth every penny.
