FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

thanks for the welcome!

Im definitely not one of the skinny feeders!I even get postpartum overactive thyroid and the one sympyom I dont get is weightloss!! Baby is 5 weeks so I thought this would be good to change habits rather than going on an official diet, which I need but am so not ready for.

Boot camp sounds scary. I thought this was a nice safe thread (I too rarely venture into wider MN these days).

Dd1 went off to Guide camp today - back Thursday. I feel rather as if a bit of me is missing. She has wisely padlocked her bedroom door so the boys will not be able to wreak havoc. So ODD not knowing what she is doing at any time. Hoping Horrid Girl is being kept in check - she must not be allowed to ruin it for dd1.

Ds2 made banana and honey cake today and ds1 made extra lemony lemon and orange drizzle cake with chunks of lemon. So I have been eating cake

Tatties oh bother

I don't actually think it's Greeny this time. I can't quite put my finger on who it is, though. It's very good.

I am still feeling a bit ill and crap and late last night I started watchin thig AWFUL dvd called 'crush' which is badly written and jumpy and cliched and now I have to go downstairs and watch the end of it because I am weird like that.

Staihnless steel thing is crazy - it is so funny but always part of me wonders taht it might be true and then I get all concenred.

Boco - have some black tea with sugar

No i'm here. I'm looking through my one good eye, risking that too, just to keep up with that funny stainless steel fetish thread. It has to be Greeny doesn't it?.

I neeeeed lemonade.

I'm never ever drinking again. Or leaving my house. Or answering the phone. A friend popped by to say hello, and the effort of pretending to be normal for ten minutes made me sick again. She was backing away from me, she knew i was a one eyed freak, with wild hair and green complexion.

Right then if it's bootcamp next week the thread title needs to be "I crack the whip and you skip"

Report
SaggyPossum · 19/08/2007 21:32

yes, the last we heard from Lullabyloo she was going for the day out to Greenwich, pre hospital visit. LL, are you ok? Did your DS have a lovely day?
Zipi was last heard of driving to Oxford, maybe she kept on going and is on the Welsh coast? Something very soothing about the sea when you're down.

Oh-kayyyyy

boot camp it is then you great bunch of perverts

only I am worried I will not be around much to crack the whip; I will do my best though.

I am hardly on any other threads either - I seem to have less time these days and it is just so much more pleasant on this thread than on anywhere else. Something about hiding on here is bothering me a bit, though, probably vanity as I quite like being well-known on the site and now I am sure no-one has a clue who I am.

Hope everyone feels better than they did earlier. Especially Boco. I wish we had heard from Zippi and Lullaby.

Mrs C, I had the wheatgrass as an ingredient in mainly fruit &* veg smoothies, maybe if I'd upped the wheatgrass component I might have been ill too? Don't know. I don't smoke (never have),nor drink alcohol (sob, makes DS/s rashes flare instantly), no black tea or coffee, and back then I ate very healthily, no cake or Hula Hoop binges, come to think of it I was also two stone lighter and a yoga bendy bod. Sigh. I was a different person physiologically before I had DS. Now I'm stuffed full of bad carbs & stress/exhaustion/cortisol overload and wheatgrass would probably send me into a spin.
Managed about 7/10 today. Exercise was walking a screaming, teeething DS round the park in the sling in the rain for two (yes, TWO) hours, in my pink stripey pjamas at 7am becasue i'd been up since 3am with him and I was past caring what the neighbours think about my nightwear. God I could do with some cake.....

BBB I saw Stuart Lee one year at Embra. I saw Richard Herring another year (Talking Cock) and also Jeff Green who was VERY funny. I'll just do one of these again because I am very jealous of people going there. I think I need to arrange a trip soon myself to get my fix of the place...
