FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Possum - we've all done it. I think they're probably much more resilient than we realise.

BB - sorry. DH bought be back a Mars Bar, I actually had to leave this thread to eat it. How MAD is that?

I am taking an Edith Wharton, David Mitchell's first novel - what's it called 9 something, Richard Ford's latest book - no idea what its called, and this overly long history book about Stalin. I LOVE overly long history books on holiday.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:22

Alan Rickman. Terrible BO apparently . God wouldn't it be funny if he emailed us like Jon Ronson did and said "I have NOT got BO. Obviously" Or something.

Ironically enough, given the direction of this thread tonight, I AM doing a doctorate right now, and the tug between my love of an intellectual life and the heart tug of wanting to spend all my time with my baby is a living hell. So I just hang out here and procratinate Doctorates should be done in your early twenties when you're young, free and single or not at all.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:22

Is it me or did loads of people join today? MamaG I thought you maintained you were terrified of me?

OP posts:
fedda · 17/08/2007 23:22

Hi, may I join you please?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:23

oh is it that new stalin one about him growing up? Is it in paperback yet?

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:23

Possum

(just can't bring self to call you Saggy)

OP posts:
MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:23

oh that would be hilarious

I heard he only lasts 22 seconds in the sax, max

I need him to prove me wrong, obviously

Tatties · 17/08/2007 23:24

Ah well I did think AR was ok but that's spoilt it for me now

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:24

Hello fedda

please do but I warn you, if the last 200 posts or so don't make much sense to you, it doesn't usually get any better than this

OP posts:
BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:24

what are you doing your doctorate in if you don';t mind me asking (and you haven't gone to bed)?

Hi fedda!

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 23:24

Welcome Fedda. Come on in, is a bit antic in here tonight. I have just eaten a mars bar.

It's called The Court of Stalin, I think.

I'm leaving Alistair behind because it's much too big and heavy and because he is entering my dreams, and that's a bit unnerving.

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:25

Franny I am terrified of you
but I'm hoping I can blend in by hiding in teh 10/10 pack

STill using my play dough batch btw (note I spelt it dough. not doh)

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:26

so

he is gay

lasts 22 secs

smells

and is inexplicably fancied by 75 % of woman kind

whereas DR is young, straight, clean and no doubt lasts 22 secs but I bet would be ready to go again as soon as you had gone for a wee and brushed your teeth

and yet you all turn your nose up at him. Madness.

OP posts:
BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:26

hey F&Z did you see somewhere someone expressing dissappointment at the title this week?

I hand the responsiblity for it completely back to FMV - where is she BTW?

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:26

my post about AR contacting us should be 22 seconds in teh sack, not sax

God I might have him turn up on my doorstep to play the saxaphone for 30 secons to prove me wrong now, with me screeching "Noooo you were supposed to shag me ffs"

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:27

no no NO I wouldn't turn up my nose at DR

as long as he didn't do that weird smile he has

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 23:27

LOL @ Franny's summing up of AR's appeal.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:27

but Franny he would try really hard and do all that stroking and talking afterwards

SaggyPossum · 17/08/2007 23:27

sod it, DH will just have to think I've got the runs. This is too funny to leave right now....

Tatties · 17/08/2007 23:27

Aw Possum it is a tug isn't it. I can really identify with that

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:28

oooh thread title

how about "To Pea or not to pea. That is the digestion"

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:28

Oooh I know that smile

I like it

OP posts:
BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:28

Boco · 17/08/2007 23:28
