FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BB - I have tried to cut down. Franny says we're to do it slowly otherwise it is akin to mental illness or something. She had a link. It was extreme.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:14

I don;t think he is - just a poncey nob.

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 23:14

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:14

No one else acknowledges is BBB because they know you're not ready to give it up, you need a caffeine equivalent of methadone as a steppingstone. Umm, like tea maybe.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:15

will go down to one cup a day. I like redbush.

WHAT BOOKS?

SaggyPossum · 17/08/2007 23:15

F&Z, degrees are pretty meaningless in the big scheme of things, truly they are. You have written so many insightful and intelligent things on thread about parenting . Today I felt angry at the universe and smashed one of DS/s toys infront of him. I wasn't angry at him, just tired and pissed off with life, but you should never be angry in front of a baby. You'd never do that. You are an uber parent which is a thing of awe, where as i am crap and probably messing up my child for life. Who gives a toss about an MA if your offspring look wary and alarmed when mummy goes off on a rant at the wardrobe waving her arms about and gibbering(yes, I must seem insane and I do worry that it affects him.)

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:16

ditto F&Z

I like a bit o muck

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:17

what saggy said

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:18

Ruddy hell Possum I am a shitey parent, I am on here all day for a start and then out all evening leering at teenagers

sorry about the toy breaking thing - at least it makes for a funny story which is more than you can say for most of my parenting nadirs

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:18

F&Z I have the bee book here nest to my computer if you wnat to have it for an extra long loan.

Boco · 17/08/2007 23:18

Oh dear Saggy - everyone has deranged moments, it's normal and doesn't mean you dc will be disturbed for life. I've certainly had them. I once put dds doll and buggy in a wheely bin as she was having a tantrum, and people saw and looked horrified, and i had to sneak back and get them when it was dark. If you feel really bad though, then you need to talk to someone about it and get a bit more support. No shame in that.

Tatties · 17/08/2007 23:18

God Possum you don't seem insane at all, what you describe sounds very familiar

BBB I have tea first thing, redbush is good

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 23:19

I think I like the idea of much better than the reality

I like oil stained overalls VERY much

my lovely friend has a 15yr old son and I went round to her house and they were all there all teenagery and topless. I felt like those women in the Harry Enfield sketch - 'oh young man'.

Tatties · 17/08/2007 23:20

Right who has BO?

MamaG · 17/08/2007 23:20

BBBee · 17/08/2007 23:21
