FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

no I think she meant I was deranged - it wsn't friendly and jokey but very exaggerated.

Kind of "if you think that imitating an accent is racist you are clearly derranged"

I am sure ti was her.

SaggyPossum · 17/08/2007 22:42

this thread has become quite delightfully bonkers. Managed about 5/10 today. Nighty night all.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 22:43

agree 100. She is so clever. I bet she has a doctorate.

Boco · 17/08/2007 22:43

Yes, i see. That doesn't really help though. It's still the pus thing. It's still the knowledge that all posts are being met with many people thinking 'fuck off'.

if this is what max-ing out on fruit and veg does to a person, then i'm looking forward to it Yes you ARE all deranged but in a way that makes the rest of MNet seem colourless, pedestrain and boring by comparison.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 22:45

no they aren't being greeted with people wishing you would fuck off - there are just some poor people who want other peope to fuck off all the time. My dad is like that - he hates people.

Boco · 17/08/2007 22:45

I have a first class degree. First.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 22:46

um, maybe this thread could be used to warn people of the dangers of too much fruit and vegetables.

SaggyPossum · 17/08/2007 22:46

what is a pede-strain I wonder? Or even a pedes-train? See, the extra plums and broccoli are working on me too. Tis a parallel universe in here.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 22:46

No, no. I understand what they're saying. I think it too sometimes.

Boco · 17/08/2007 22:47

Yes yes, i do see - i'm not taking it personally - like its just me at all - it's just reading that thread, the general consensus that everything is crap. And everyone should fuck off. It's like pus. It's a bit sad to know about.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 22:47

I've created a monster, a monster I tell you

What is it with the talking about degrees tonight. Is like the first week at college when people kept asking what A levels you got. I never got that at the time. Like that was a conversation? I made them up.

Is all nonsense F&Z. Doctorates schmoctarates.

Boco · 17/08/2007 22:49

I love the word pedestrian. It's a brilliant word. There are so many pedestrian things.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 22:50

Okay. Where's the missing sandal?

Shout it out.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2007 22:51

100

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 22:52

100x is being narky again

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 22:53

Franny - I haven't got a doctorate

BBBee · 17/08/2007 22:53

the child has packed it themself in a tuppleware / rucksack (by some flip flop when you get there)

SaggyPossum · 17/08/2007 22:53

Boco, don't worry about the pus, because this is an organic thread, and everyone knows that organically farmed dairy cows are loved and given names and rubbed on the nose at milking time and if their udders were unhappy the farmer would give them a chaise longue and back issues of Country Life to read whilst they had hoof massages and complimentary wheat grass smoothies. So, you see, no need to worry about pus here.
