FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes WE DO. We all do.

On your own.

You needed all the coffee you could get.

Come on, spill. Rides?

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:03

Don't be coy, spit it out.

Are there pictures?

BBBee · 16/08/2007 21:20

the thread I did - it reads like I am on speed!

BBBee · 16/08/2007 21:22

pictures exist be am crap at uploading.

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:24

Good lord, where on earth (or in what parallel part of the universe) was this?

BBBee · 16/08/2007 21:27

oh - sorry - it was europa park - bizarrely me and 100x both won a mumsnet holiday trip there.

10/10 is lucky thread!

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:28

That is odd.

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:30

But good, too.

BBBee · 16/08/2007 21:32

'odd' is a good word! I will stop polluting 10/10 thoguh.

F&Z - what about the story thing -was that good?

LL - thought about you - esp. when on the plane. How are thigns going? are you on any meds?

MrsC - results?

Who was it who was giving up carbs?

liked boco and 100x house swap - let's do a mass house swap and all move round one for a week and still never meet each other!

Boco - came to me in germany - you are SO much more grown up than me - you allow people into your house unexpectedly and they are allowed i teh bathroom. Am in awe of that. My house is orribly untidy and I am very ashamed.

You are really grown up!

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:44

That is a great idea. We could rotate and you would get the idea of the person who lives there without having to meet (no offence) .

I bet we could plot a whole circuit around the country this way.

Tatties · 16/08/2007 21:47

Hello everyone

Zippi - so sorry.

Lovely pics Franny, Greeny your boys look like twins!

Been to the gym tonight, just quick, but feel much better for it.

lionheart · 16/08/2007 21:49

Hi Tatties (very impressed by any mention of gym).

Tatties · 16/08/2007 21:57

Oh I wasn't there for very long, but I am really amazed at how different you can feel after a short burst of exercise

BBBee · 16/08/2007 22:06

MrsC - Am scarred you have prebooked stuff for edinburgh. My plan is to turn up and wander around - is this a crpa plan? If so how do I find out what is on?

BBBee · 16/08/2007 22:07

gym=endrophins - why can't i learn that!

MrsCarrot · 16/08/2007 22:22

BBBee - glad you had fun! Tired just reading your thread. Negative blood test. Yay! Bring on the oat cakes. I am not organising anything btw, my friend did it. I think we are mostly going to mill around and see what takes our fancy.

Carrot and apple juice. Cherries. Fattoush (NQC's) salad, kebabs with peppers, mushrooms, onions, cougettes and lemons. Had them with cumin and herb flat breads also inspired by NQC. More cherries. Have also walked a very long way.

Zippi - hope you feel better soon.

BBBee · 16/08/2007 22:28

great news about the blood test!

Glad milling about idea sounds okay - you must just have an organised friend! Last year we saw a good thing by chance so will just trust to luck. Is very different with dc's though.

Zippi - are you around? best wishes.

BBBee · 16/08/2007 22:30

hey - and if we do swap houses we wouldn't have to rearrange cats and veg box deliveries - just let the stranger take care of it.

and we would still never meet!

MrsCarrot · 16/08/2007 22:30

God, have you all got cats?

Boco · 16/08/2007 22:31

Thanks for saying i'm grown up BBBee, but letting you into my house doesn't really qualify me does it? Your children needed to pee, i couldn't bar the way into the bathroom - and my house is messy and tiny and not a grown ups house really. But thanks.

BBBee · 16/08/2007 22:36

ha - you want me to post up pictures of my house?

you had like cookery books on a shelf in an order.

womblingalong · 16/08/2007 22:38

Hi all,

Zippi for you, hope things get better for you soon.

3andno more, thanks for advice on BF thread

Boco, F&Z, Mrs C, lovely dc's on your pics (have not checked out anyone elses!)

Today I have had cherries, cranberries, raisins, nectarines, grapes, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, onions.

Also had better day and night, so am feeling a bit more human. Got to go as DH is pestering for puter !

Hello apples and pearers

I am afraid I doubt if I have managed a total of 10 since the beginning of the week. I have a viral infection in my mouth which means it is covered in ulcers and I feel like pants. Really hard to eat or drink anything. Good for the diet but not for the soul. Am missing my f and v desperately.

Hope all are well and will try to catch up properly soon XXX

Boco · 16/08/2007 22:46

No no they're not in an order - they're just on some shelves - and where the space has run out for standing them in the normal way, some are stacked up in smaller piles and stuffed in. Along with a couple of bottles of poster paint and a wooden toy and some bottles of oil and loose change.
